Physiotherapist for the health and care facilities on Langeland

As a physiotherapist on the upcoming health and care placements in Langeland you will play an important role in citizens' rehabilitation journeys – and at the same time have the opportunity to help shape a new regional offer in Borgernær Sundhed at Odense University Hospital.

About the health and care placements

From 1 January 2027 Borgernær Sundhed at Odense University Hospital will take over responsibility for the regional health and care placements in Langeland.

The placements are aimed at citizens in need of health professional interventions, treatment, care and rehabilitation for a period. The citizens primarily come from a hospital department, and the goal for most is that they can return to their own home.

On Langeland, a service with 8 placements is established, where occupational and physiotherapists, nurses and social and health care assistants work closely together. Our shared goal is to help the citizen return to their own life with dignity, efficient pathways and high professionalism.

We believe rehabilitation is most successful when the citizen is an active participant, and when the professional expertise is brought into play across disciplines.

Your role as a physiotherapist

You will become a central part of the multidisciplinary team around the citizen.

Your tasks will include, among others

• examine and assess the citizen's functional ability and rehabilitation needs
• plan and implement individual physiotherapeutic interventions
• work with mobility, functional ability and training
• contribute to interdisciplinary assessments and joint plans for the citizen's course
• collaborate with citizens, relatives and relevant partners
• document and follow up on the physiotherapeutic interventions
• contribute to the development of professional practice and workflows.

Experience with rehabilitation, geriatrics, complex citizen journeys or cross-sector collaboration is an advantage but not a requirement.

About Borgernær Sundhed

Borgernær Sundhed is a new department at Odense University Hospital, established as part of the health reform.

The department shall support a more nearby, coherent and equitable health care system and ensure professionally strong offers to citizens who need health services closer to their daily lives.

From 1 January 2027 Borgernær Sundhed will among other things take over responsibility for health and care placements and regional emergency nursing.

Employment terms

The position is initially 37 hours per week. In time, the working hours can also include day shifts on weekends.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the agreement for occupational therapists/physiotherapists and midwives – collective agreement 33.21.1.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
