About the job

Would you like to become part of a nursing home with a special profile, where diversity, professionalism and community go hand in hand? Are you motivated to put your professional skills to use, develop collaboration across disciplines and create solutions together with residents and colleagues?

Then it may be you we are looking for.

At Slottet – the Rainbow Care Home in the heart of Nørrebro – we are looking for a dedicated physiotherapist who is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration, rehabilitation and the quality of life of older adults.

About Slottet

Slottet is a somatic care home with 111 residents, located in De Gamles By in Nørrebro. We are a nursing home with a special rainbow profile, where diversity, inclusivity and respect for each person’s life history are a natural part of our everyday life.

At Slottet we base our care on the individual’s wishes, needs and resources. We focus on creating a dignified and meaningful elderly life, where self-determination, quality of life and the right to live life on one’s own terms are central values.

We are a workplace with ambitions for professional quality and development. We believe that the best solutions are created through strong interdisciplinary collaboration, where we complement each other, share knowledge and bring our different competences into play.

We work with a co-creative approach, where residents’ voices and perspectives are central. We want to find solutions together with the residents – with respect for their wishes, routines and the life they want to live.

Your role with us

As a physiotherapist you will be an important part of Slottet’s cross-disciplinary professional community. You will work closely with among others our occupational therapist, psychomotor therapy therapist, nurses, social- and health care assistants, social- and health aides and other professional functions.

You will have an important role in supporting residents’ functioning, mobility, movement and the ability to maintain as much independence as possible in daily life.

We view rehabilitation as a joint task and an integral part of daily life. Your physiotherapeutic professionalism should therefore not stand alone, but be part of inspiring, guiding and supplementing colleagues’ professional efforts.

We want a culture where we learn from each other, are curious about each other’s professionalities and together develop our practice. You should therefore be willing to work independently with your own professional focus and actively participate in the cross-disciplinary community.

We offer

  • a unique workplace with a special rainbow profile and a focus on diversity and inclusivity
  • engaged and accommodating colleagues with many different professional competencies
  • a strong cross-disciplinary community with room for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and co-creation
  • an opportunity to influence and develop the physiotherapeutic efforts at Slottet
  • a workplace focused on rehabilitation, residents’ self-determination and quality of life
  • recognising leadership with a focus on creating the framework for a healthy and developing workplace
  • a thorough introduction to the workplace and a mentor assigned to support your start
  • opportunity for professional development and to put your own mark on task solving

We want you to

  • be a trained physiotherapist and have a high professional standard
  • preferably have experience with or interest in the geriatric field and dementia
  • focus on a rehabilitative approach in interactions with residents and in collaboration with colleagues
  • have a strong interdisciplinary commitment and see the value in complementing and developing each other’s professionalities
  • work co-creatively and be able to involve residents’ wishes, needs and resources
  • recognise the importance of relationship-building work
  • have knowledge of and interest in assistive devices
  • enjoy teaching, guiding and sharing your professional knowledge with colleagues
  • be sharp on documentation
  • be adaptable, flexible and thrive in a daily life where we find solutions together
