About the job

Are you professionally well-founded, thrive with responsibility, and want to be part of a department where interdisciplinary collaboration is in focus? We are seeking a new colleague who is sharp in physiotherapeutic assessment, and who finds neurology an exciting specialty.

Brief about the position

The work takes place on our general neurological inpatient ward N31, where we assess the functional level of patients with diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, brain tumor, ALS (MND), Parkinson's, Atypical Parkinson's, etc.

We staff the department with 1.5 physiotherapists and 1 occupational therapist, and you will become the primary physiotherapist. There is close and good interdisciplinary collaboration with the rest of the department staff, and the therapists have a large share in planning the good patient pathways.

This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week. The working hours are mainly Monday to Friday 08:00-15:30.

Who are we?

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals is a clinically cross-disciplinary department with its own research unit. We are passionate about making a difference, and therefore the patient, research, development and innovation are a priority for us.

We take responsibility for our professional standard, e.g., with implementation of new guidelines and measurement methods, as well as journal clubs, supervision and workshops.

Our team in general neurology consists of a total of two occupational therapists and three physiotherapists. We have strong professional and social relationships, and we always help each other when needed.

The team is part of the neurological group, where we total 27 therapists plus a research and development therapist.

We participate in several quality and development projects across the hospital and sectors as well as local working groups with the aim of improving and developing patient pathways in the neurological domain.

Your primary tasks

  • Acute functional assessments of neurological patients with setting goals and a plan, as well as recommendations for discharge destination and rehabilitation needs
  • Actively contribute to daily interdisciplinary collaboration around the patient, including board meetings and the inclusive ward rounds (DIS).
  • Short rehabilitation courses for patients with neurological issues

We expect that you

  • Find the neurological specialty exciting, and can handle working with seriously ill people and their relatives
  • Are professionally well-founded, strong in clinical reasoning, and can communicate it orally as well as in writing
  • Thrive in working independently, and have a good ability to prioritise and create overview
  • Have good collaboration skills, and see it as natural to involve the interdisciplinary collaborators
  • Have knowledge of working in a hospital, and thrive in an acute environment with many different patient pathways and collaborators

We offer

  • Skilled and good colleagues who value professional sparring and knowledge sharing highly
  • Thorough introduction to our exciting and varied everyday life with professional challenges and responsibilities, but where you never stand alone.
  • Focus on research and development, where there is an opportunity to influence the physiotherapist’s work and engage in development work.
  • Positive expectations of you and a leadership that prioritizes innovation, professional and personal development and well-being highly

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026

Salary and terms follow the collective agreement for non-leading staff in the Health Collective area, negotiated between the Health Collective's parties, including the Danish Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapy Association, and the Regions' Paying and Tariff Board.
