PLM Solution Architect for the industry

Can you identify the customer's business challenges and translate them into concrete PLM solutions? And would you set the direction from the first client dialogue to a solution that works in practice?

We are seeking a PLM Solution Architect who combines technical insight with business understanding. You will help industrial companies create coherence between product data, processes and systems – and show how PLM can support their digital development.

You will play a central role in presales, where you, together with an Account Manager, identify the customer's needs and present proposals for solutions. During the implementation you support the project manager and the technical consultants with professional direction and ensure that the solution aligns with the customer's goals.

From the customer's challenges to a concrete plan

You are curious about the customer's business and can see where better processes, data quality and system support can create value. You thrive in dialogue with both management, process owners, IT and technical specialists and can make complex interrelationships understandable.

Starting from the customer's situation you describe a possible solution and a realistic path to implementation. You think long-term and can at the same time define a first step that provides a clear payoff.

Your tasks in presales will include

• Conduct needs analyses and facilitate workshops on processes, product data and the system landscape.
• Identify and prioritise challenges based on business value, complexity and the customer's maturity.
• Present solution proposals and demonstrations based on the customer's concrete needs.
• Describe the solution architecture, data flow and the interaction between PLM, PDM, CAD, ERP and other systems.
• Prepare phased solution proposals with scope, deliverables, dependencies and expected payoff.
• Contribute to proposals and estimates in collaboration with the Account Manager, project manager and technical consultants.

Technical direction throughout the implementation

When the project starts, you maintain the coherence between the agreed solution and the concrete deliverables. You support the project manager and help the technical consultants make well-founded solution choices.

Your tasks will include

• Concretize the solution architecture and clarify data models, workflows, integrations and data ownership.
• Collaborate with the consultants on standard functionality, configuration and necessary adaptations.
• Contribute to planning data migration and ensure focus on data quality and coherent information structures.
• Assess the consequences of changes and clarify opportunities, risks and recommendations.
• Participate in solution reviews, customer meetings and relevant steering committee meetings.
• Support validation, handover and commissioning of the solution.

Together with an Account Manager and a project manager you ensure a common direction and alignment of expectations, so the solution is delivered and supports the agreed business needs.

Your professional background

You have experience with PLM in industry and understand how product data, technology and business processes together can create value across a company.

We particularly emphasize that you

• Have solid knowledge of PLM – preferably Autodesk Fusion Manage.
• Understand the interplay between PLM, PDM, CAD and ERP and the importance of clear data ownership and integrations.
• Have good knowledge of Autodesk platforms, such as Fusion Manage, Vault and Inventor, and can see opportunities to combine them.
• Can connect PLM to the company’s business processes and overall digitalization strategy.
• Have experience with needs discovery, solution design, workshops and presentations.
• Can prepare realistic estimates and implementation plans in collaboration with the project manager and technical specialists.
• Communicate confidently in Danish and English.

You also have an understanding of product structures, bills of materials, document control, change management and release processes. You can translate this understanding into solutions with clear data models and coherent workflows.

Your background could be as a solutions architect, experienced PLM consultant or technical advisor. The crucial thing is that you combine technical depth with an overview and business understanding.
