We can currently offer a parental leave position in the school area on a full-time basis from January 1, 2027. We are seeking a psychologist to serve the special and/or general education areas.

In Roskilde PPR, together with schools and kindergartens, we are focused on the ambition to strengthen learning environments so that all children and young people can thrive as well as learn and develop. We work from the political vision that more children and youths are ensured good well-being and development in their local environments. In Roskilde we believe that the smallest unit is always the relation and we make an effort to come together in local work communities with the goal of creating and supporting strong child communities, relation-oriented adults, and engaging teaching.

A little about us… PPR Roskilde is a multidisciplinary organization with about 80 employees. We are organized in a 0-6 year team and a school team. Both teams consist of multidisciplinary groups of employees, representing different professional approaches to children's learning, well-being and development. In both the preschool and school areas there are psychologists and speech therapists as well as special pedagogical advisers and consultants with either pedagogical or teacher backgrounds with various overbuilds.

A little about what we offer… As a new employee you can expect a thorough introductory process to both the organization and your tasks. You will also be assigned a mentor from the psychology group and there is also an opportunity for close consultation with the psychology professional coordinator and the department head. We in Roskilde Municipality have clear guidelines for cooperation on the well-being of children and youths, and you will therefore become part of an organization where cooperation across kindergartens, schools, PPR and Children & Youth is well defined. In addition you can expect:

• A workplace characterized by a high degree of trust and influence and which continually focuses on a good and safe working environment.
• A workplace where professional development is given high priority with courses, supervision (both mono-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary) and sparring.
• 2 hours of weekly internal group supervision (the psychology group is divided into three groups with at least one colleague in each who can provide practice-supporting supervision).
• Possibility for specialist-approved supervision and ongoing sparring from the psychology professional coordinator.
• Possibility for external supervision if you are not yet authorized/practice-trained.
• Possibility for canteen arrangements as well as loan of e-bikes and -cars.

A little about the psychology group… As an employee in PPR Roskilde you become part of a psychology group consisting of 19 professionally engaged colleagues who stand ready with collegial support and sparring. We are a mixed group consisting of psychologists with both short and long experience. As a group we value both professional collaboration and sparring highly, but also have a tradition of contributing with social events outside working hours. We work in partnerships (both mono- and multidisciplinary) and with the possibility to visit each other’s practices.

A little about the psychologists’ tasks… As PPR psychologists we are focused on applying our professional knowledge in ways that help support that all children and youths are part of a strong community and it calls for us to often handle several and varying tasks in the collaboration here, including:

• Exploratory conversations with children, youths and their parents.
• Advice and guidance to parents and pedagogical staff.
• Supervision for professionals in the 0-6 year area and the school area.
• Designing and conducting programs in the 0-6 year area and the school area in collaboration with professionals and cross-disciplinary colleagues in PPR.
• Assessment work based on tests, observations and questionnaires.
• Preparation of pedagogical psychological assessments and referrals to child and adolescent psychiatry.

A little about you… We are seeking a psychologist and colleague who can recognize themselves in several of the points below.

• Have a cand.psych. or cand.pæd.psych. degree.
• Have an interest in and/or experience with serving schools in the special education area
• Motivated for the pedagogical-psychological area of work and driven to work with complex processes and problems and value a high degree of methodological freedom.
• Work from a systemic, resource-oriented perspective and insist that interventions have a strong link to the community or take their starting point in the community.
• Are academically skilled and able to translate and communicate knowledge into practice both through counseling and guidance as well as by participating in practice-oriented programs with professionals.
• Have an overview and ability to independently plan and execute work tasks.
• See the value in interdisciplinary task solving and contribute actively to it.
