About the job

At PPR we work for the development of a strong and practically oriented collaboration with the municipality's primary schools with focus on strengthening children's participation opportunities in learning communities.

Pedagogical Psychological Counseling in the school area for ages 6-18 seeks you who are driven by curiosity, who have an interest in delving into a complex professional field and who dream of helping to develop PPR together with a skilled professional group with a strong interdisciplinary focus.

The position is 37 hours per week as of 1.1.2027.

PPR in the school area serves public schools, free and private schools as well as special offerings and special schools. We have a large group of psychologists and consultants with a diverse breadth of knowledge, interest and experience. What we share is that we keep our core task in focus and make professionalism applicable in an interdisciplinary collaboration very close to the schools' pedagogical practice.

In PPR we collaborate with the schools on both preventive actions in learning environments and with targeted and integrative actions regarding children with declining academic and social well-being. We are close to the schools, where we bring our knowledge and competencies into play in collaboration with teams, advisors and school leaderships.

As a psychologist in PPR you will work with exciting, varied and often complex tasks, where there must be attention to the learning community, the child/young person and the interaction that takes place here. We focus on the conditions for participation of children and young people. Through curious and expansive dialogues, joint reflection and co-creation we strive to translate symptoms into invitations and set new understandings in play together with relevant adults and cross-professional partners.

The common aim is to create more and new participation opportunities in the learning environment with a view to creating better well-being and development for children and young people.

We are committed to being present, working practice-oriented and preventive while we work exploratory and diagnostic. As a psychologist in the school area we work with a basis in the Danish Folkeskole Law, which means you must assess the special educational needs of children and young people as well as support and qualify the schools' work with the development of their learning environments. The tasks thus include e.g. sparring sessions with pedagogical staff and leadership, observations in learning environments, testing, preparation of pedagogical-psychological assessments, etc.

Overall the staff group consists of about 45 psychologists, 17 pedagogical consultants and a speech therapist. We are a strong professional community and work closely in teams. We stand by the fact that we develop when we are curious about each other, are together in professional immersion, and when we reflect on our own practice. You will enter an organization where we value onboarding processes, mentoring and supervision, so you are well equipped for a daily life with many diverse tasks.

Interdisciplinary Health and Prevention

PPR is part of Interdisciplinary Health and Prevention, which is organized in the Children and Youth Administration. We are part of a large interdisciplinary and preventive unit that covers both the general and the specialized area, where we together strive for a daily life with good well-being, high professionalism and holistic processes. All employees in the department work within the adopted Children and Youth policies.

Together with the School Department we work on developing strong child communities and participation opportunities for all children. We work from systemic thinking and have an eye for the context of children and young people's development.
