About the job

Internship for People & Culture at Netto – get close to people, development and change

Are you the type who loves structure, derives satisfaction from creating overview and has a good eye for loose ends? Or are you more energized by development, projects and new ideas?

Maybe you’re actually a bit of both.

Then an internship with People & Culture at Netto could be right for you.

Netto is in motion. We are undergoing a major organizational development, with new roles, new ways of collaboration, and the development of our leaders and organization occupying a lot on our agenda.

And that also means there is plenty to tackle in People & Culture.

As an intern with us you will therefore have the opportunity to get very close to the work with People & Culture in a large retail organization – and not least be part of shaping it as we evolve.

Your internship doesn’t have to fit into one specific box

We could make a long list of exactly what you will work with. But the truth is, we’d rather get to know you first.

Perhaps you are the structured profile who is strong at creating overview, coordinating and keeping projects with many stakeholders moving forward and finishing things off.

Perhaps you’re more interested in development and want to work with some of the many People & Culture activities that come with our new organization.

Or perhaps your strength is translating complex messages into sharp presentations, materials and communications that make it easier for our leaders and the organization to succeed.

It could also be a combination.

We will therefore tailor part of the internship with you based on your education, your strengths and what you want to become even better at.

What could you work with?

Depending on your profile and interests you could, among other things, be involved in

  • supporting our People & Culture Business Partners in various tasks and projects
  • serving as a lead on smaller projects, processes and activities and helping to create structure, overview and progress
  • contributing to activities and projects related to the implementation and further development of Netto’s new organization
  • developing presentations, communications and materials for, among others, leaders and the organization
  • collecting and structuring input and ensuring follow-up on activities with many stakeholders
  • contributing to the development and implementation of People & Culture initiatives
  • helping us turn good ideas into concrete actions and bring them to life in the organization.

And there will certainly also be tasks we don’t yet know about.

Who are you?

Your specific study direction isn’t the most important thing for us. We imagine that you are pursuing a relevant higher education, for example in HR, organization, communications, project management, business or similar, where internship is part of your studies.

Additionally, we hope that you

  • are curious about people, organizations and business
  • like to create structure and make things happen
  • work independently but also thrive in close collaboration
  • dare to ask questions and bring your own perspectives
  • are good at communicating and enjoy making complex things easier to understand
  • want to learn and contribute.

You don’t need to be able to do everything. What matters to us is that you are curious, take responsibility and want to dive into new tasks.

Who will your colleagues be?

Your daily work will take place at our headquarters in Køge, where you will become part of the People & Culture team at Netto.

We are five People & Culture Business Partners, a Senior Specialist in occupational health and NettoCare, and a People & Culture Coordinator.

We work closely together to support Netto’s business, leaders and the organization – and although we each have different areas of responsibility and professional backgrounds, we succeed best when we do it together.

As an intern you will be part of the team, receive close sparring along the way and also have the opportunity to take on responsibilities yourself.

What will you take away?

We obviously hope you help us, but it is just as important that you take something valuable with you from your internship.

With us you will have the opportunity to

  • translate theory from your studies into practice
  • gain experience with People & Culture in a large and complex retail organization
  • get close to organizational development and change in practice
  • work together with experienced People & Culture professionals
  • try different types of tasks and learn what motivates you
  • take on responsibility and have the opportunity to shape your own influence on your internship.

In addition you will receive employee discounts in all Salling Groups formats, free access to the fitness center and padel courts at the headquarters, a free canteen arrangement and designated writing days so there is room for your studies as well.

Practical information

The internship starts in January/February 2027 . The specific internship period will be tailored in dialogue with you and based on the requirements from your education.

The application deadline is 30 October 2026 , but we will invite for interviews on an ongoing basis. So if you’re thinking now that this could be you, there’s no reason to wait until the last day.

Do you have questions?

You are very welcome to contact
