Production Manager

Staermose Industry A/S in Odder is a modern manufacturing company with strong competencies in metalworking. The company works, among other things, with laser cutting, press brake forming, welding and steel constructions and delivers solutions to a broad range of industrial customers.

On behalf of Staermose Industry we are seeking a Production Manager who can create direction, overview and momentum in daily production - and at the same time develop both people, workflows and the production as a whole.

Production Manager When people, machines and deliveries have to work together. 45 employees. Three shifts. Many customer orders. And a production where the plan does not always look like 2 pm, as it did at 7 am.

As Production Manager you will have overall responsibility for about 45 employees in the subcontracting department, which includes laser cutting, press bending, blacksmithing, receiving and dispatch as well as quality and outbound control. You report directly to the managing director and become part of the management.

Your task is to ensure that people, capacity, quality and customer orders work together - and ensure that the production delivers the right thing, in the right quality and on time.

You will be introduced to the tasks and gradually take on more responsibility as you learn the employees, the production and the workflows.

The production runs on three shifts. You do not need to be present on all shifts, but you should be visible and ensure good contact with the employees across the production.

You will among other things be responsible for

• Lead, motivate and develop employees and teams
• Ensure the daily planning and prioritization of production
• Follow up on capacity, quality, order flow and delivery times
• Create clear roles, responsibilities and expectations
• Drive continuous improvements of workflows and production
• Actively contribute to the implementation of new production management software
• Ensure the right competencies, including in welding coordination and outbound inspection

Your profile

You have solid experience from a manufacturing company and know the daily operations up close. Experience from the iron and metal industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You understand the relationship between people, machines, capacity and deliveries - and you can translate plans into action. As a leader you are clear and trustworthy. You give responsibility, follow up and step in when there is a need for direction or decisions.

You do not need to be the biggest technical specialist in the room. On the other hand you must understand the production, be able to ask the right questions, listen and get people to work together on what needs to succeed.

Your perspective

You join a well-functioning department with autonomous teams and skilled employees. The task is therefore not to start from scratch, but to build on and raise the production to the next level.

Staermose Industry is also facing the implementation of new production management software and continued development of processes and workflows. You will therefore have the opportunity to leave your mark on both daily operations and how the production should operate going forward.
