Professional Caseworker for FOA Southern Jutland

FOA Southern Jutland is looking for a motivated and competent professional caseworker who is passionate about delivering results for members through qualified case handling, guidance, and advocacy.

You may currently be working as a payroll or HR employee in a municipality, region or a larger private company – perhaps somewhere entirely different – where you advise on salary and employment conditions.

If you have a positive view of the trade union movement and the difference we still need to make on the Danish labor market, and you thrive with a dynamic workday and can handle many balls in the air, you could be the perfect fit for the position.

About the position

As a professional caseworker you will become an important part of the professional team, where your primary tasks will be:

• Advise and support members and elected representatives on working and employment law matters.
• Professional case handling, including assisting members in conversations at the workplace and handling member inquiries.
• Occupational health initiatives focusing on prevention, well-being, and support for union representatives and health and safety representatives.
• Carrying out pay checks and handling pay-related cases.
• Negotiation and dialogue with employers and partners.
• Participation in member activities, meetings and educational tasks.

We expect that you

• Have relevant professional education or experience within the occupational health area and have knowledge of occupational safety legislation – or have a strong interest in learning it and can convey complex professional material clearly.
• Have knowledge of the MED system and understanding of and support for AMR’s role in the occupational health organization
• Receive, assess and handle occupational health-related member cases, also in collaboration with the elected representatives.
• Have insight into collective agreements, salary conditions and handling of salary cases.
• Can work independently and simultaneously actively participate in a strong collegial community.
• Be good at building relationships and communicating clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Have an understanding of the professional organizational world and members’ daily life.
• Have solid IT skills and experience with digital case handling
• Thrive in a politically led organization and can identify with the values of the trade union movement

Employment

The position is intended to be filled as soon as possible and preferably by January 1, 2027 and requires a driving license and the ability to provide your own car
