Professional Coordinator for the Authority on Disability and Social Psychiatry

The Authority for Disability and Social Psychiatry seeks a professional coordinator for 37 hours per week from 1 December 2026.

The Authority for Disability and Social Psychiatry is part of Social and Health in Haderslev Municipality. In Social and Health, the motto "A Valuable Everyday – every day" sets the direction. The Authority for Disability and Social Psychiatry is Haderslev Municipality's authority for applications within compensatory measures for citizens with disabilities, mental disorders, or social vulnerability.

What are the primary job responsibilities?

Your primary function is to support the daily social work operations in the Authority for Disability and Social Psychiatry and to support the head of the Authority for Disability and Social Psychiatry with regard to the citizen-oriented aspects of the authority work.

You will be the primary sparring partner for the social work staff regarding citizen cases.

You should help the social work staff handle particularly complex citizen pathways, and you may be the 2nd person on complex citizen cases and support the social work staff in casework, meetings with citizens/guardians, etc.

• are educated as social worker or social facilitator
• have in-depth knowledge of and experience with work in the specialized area within the Framework of the Social Services Act, including the Adult Assessment Method
• are committed to, and have an opinion on, what characterizes good case handling
• are able to maintain calm and an overview, so you contribute to making good and well-considered decisions
• thrive in a changing and sometimes hectic workday
• have an appreciative and curious approach to sparring with the social work staff
• are a strong communicator, both in writing and orally, and can help translate methods, legislation and strategies into practice
• possess good collaboration skills and can see your own role in the interprofessional collaboration
• see yourself as part of a department where everyone contributes to the assigned tasks, contributes to professional development, and contributes to a good working environment
• possess good humor and drive.

Who are we

We are a authority department that handles tasks in the form of case processing, visitation and follow-ups regarding citizens over 18 with mental and physical disabilities that have resulted in a lasting and significant reduced physical and/or mental function, which means there is a need for compensation to enable daily functioning.

Our tasks consist of general case processing in the form of processing new applications, meeting management, counseling, advice and guidance, clarification of needs and actions, visitation, making decisions, initiation and follow-up of the appropriate assistance measure in accordance with the Social Services Act §§ 84, 85, 97, 103, 104, 107, 108.

We are 23 staff in the department, distributed as follows

• 16 experienced authority case handlers
• 2 social educators
• 1 quality and development coordinator
• 3 administrative
• 1 head

We are a department with trust in each other. In daily life this is expressed by us largely using each other for professional sparring and professional discussions.

Salary and employment terms

Base salary, step 46, DKK 43,570 per month. In addition, an individual agreement can be made between Haderslev Municipality and your professional organization based on experience and qualifications.

When employed, we will conduct a criminal record check.
