Psychologist for Himmelev Treatment Program

We are seeking another psychologist to strengthen the treatment work in close collaboration with the educational staff in our homes and school.

At Himmelev Treatment Offer we work purposefully with children and young people who have complex challenges and need a specialized interdisciplinary approach. We work developmentally focused according to individually tailored treatment plans.

The psychologist's tasks

As a psychologist with us you will be a central part of the treatment team around children and young people who live or attend school at Himmelev treatment offer. Together with the educational staff who are close to the child in daily life, you plan treatment plans and treatment goals, participate in treatment meetings and evaluate development and pedagogical efforts. As part of this process you also handle written descriptions to parents and municipalities regarding the status of the treatment twice a year.

You will also be part of a small psychology team of 3 psychologists and a larger interdisciplinary specialist team, consisting of psychologists, social worker, development consultant, occupational therapist and nurse.

Your profile

We are seeking a psychologist with an interest in working with children and young people with autism and cognitive disabilities.

Experience with the field and with working in interdisciplinary teams is a plus, but not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who thrives working independently and across in an organization with many disciplines. Who meets complexity with curiosity and professional reflection.

If you have experience within the autism field, there is an opportunity to contribute with sparring and knowledge to our partners within the Social sector in Region Zealand (Region Sjælland).

In the position there are good opportunities for internal and external supervision with a view to practice training or specialist training.

Working hours

Following a staffing expansion we are seeking a psychologist in a position of 30-37 hours.

The hours are during the day on weekdays.

Starting salary for unionized employees

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told base pay, centrally set allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Himmelev – A treatment offering for children and young people

Himmelev is a treatment offer for children and young people with autism spectrum disorders. Himmelev was founded in 1926 by Sofie Madsen, who had a precise view of these children's peculiarities. We still focus on the individual child and how we can adapt the surroundings so the child thrives, develops and learns optimally.

The institution has 20 residential places, six day places and an internal school with room for 22 children.
