Psychologist for our department in Copenhagen

Encounter is an innovative psychology practice that strives to offer the best conditions for clinical psychotherapy. We have arranged ourselves in a way that we offer the best elements from the daily life of a privately practicing psychologist combined with the qualities that a fixed workplace offers. The model offers a good balance between freedom and stability.

Tasks and qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and experienced psychologist for our office in Copenhagen. As a psychologist at Encounter you will become part of a dynamic and well-functioning group in a workplace with a high professional level, a strong collegial community and inviting physical surroundings.

At the Encounter psychology house we work with cognitive behavioral therapy. We mainly work with the second wave, but supplement with methods from the third wave. Your primary task as a psychologist at Encounter will consist of therapeutic conversations, but there will also be opportunities for other initiatives such as holding workshops, talks, group therapy programs, etc.

Therapy is our core competence, and therefore it is important that you as a psychologist are able to create a safe and professional foundation for conversations that can initiate a rapid change process.

Encounter offers

• Focus on the therapeutic core task – and minimal administrative work
• The best opportunities to become academically strong in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
• Weekly supervision with experienced psychologists in CBT
• Monthly external supervision with some of the most renowned CBT psychologists, both Danish and international
• Courses and theme days
• A workplace with inviting physical surroundings
• Strong collegial community, with room for the individual
• Flexibility regarding your own workflow and calendar
• Social events and a strong and warm social community

Our psychology team works closely together, which enables us to raise the professional level through a number of initiatives. You will be employed in an academy, where you get the best prerequisites for sustained learning and development. We offer internal supervision weekly as well as external supervision in collaboration with some of the country’s most renowned psychologists within cognitive behavioral therapy.

We offer our employees the opportunity to participate in courses, continuing education and conferences. We create an environment where internal sparring is given high priority – among other things in the form of weekly internal treatment conferences. Therefore it is important that our psychologists want to engage in a strong professional community, where there is room for initiative and influence.

We do a lot to cultivate a good social community with a warm tone and an inclusive view of people. We believe that if one is to unfold one’s potential, it is important that there is room to be oneself. We try to support our employees in their professional development rather than looking over their shoulder. We should not be measured and weighed every single day, and we should not run faster than we can. At Encounter we are together in lifting the level.
