Psychologist sought as primary therapist in OPUS Ballerup

We are looking for a psychologist for a permanent position as primary therapist in OPUS.

You will become part of the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic OPUS at the Psychiatric Center Ballerup, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital. OPUS is an intensive 2-year treatment program for young people aged 18–35 with disorders within the psychosis-/schizophrenia spectrum.

A little about the job and your daily life

The outpatient clinic consists of 2 interdisciplinary treatment teams under the same roof with shared ward management and a team coordinator in each team.

You will be attached to one team. As primary therapist you will be responsible for a group of patients' 2-year treatment course. Typically a patient course will form an introduction phase, where the aim is to build a good relationship with the patient and their network. Over the next years the work will be regular, close contact with the patient, individually and in group work, after which in the last half year of the patient’s OPUS course, a plan for termination will be developed.

You will become part of the interdisciplinary staff group, as well as part of the monodisciplinary psychology group and participate in various meetings.

As a psychologist you also conduct cognitive testing of patients with newly diagnosed schizophrenia, and can, depending on experience, carry out initial assessments.

Qualifications

• Education as psychologist, cand.psych
• Experience with the psychiatric target group – specifically knowledge of OPUS’ target group is an advantage
• Knowledge of cognitive theory and method and ability to work within the cognitive reference framework

Salary and employment terms

Employment offered for 37 hours per week with start 1 December 2026.

Working hours in the outpatient clinic are 8:00-15:30 Monday-Friday.

You will be employed under the agreement for academics employed in regions, etc.
