Psychologist for Himmelev Treatment Program

We are looking for another psychologist to strengthen the treatment work in close collaboration with the educational staff in our homes and school.

At Himmelev Treatment Service we work purposefully with children and young people who have complex challenges and need a specialized multidisciplinary approach. We work development-focused according to individually tailored treatment plans.

The psychologist's tasks

As a psychologist with us you will be a central part of the treatment team around children and young people who live or go to school at Himmelev treatment service. Together with the educational staff who are close to the child in daily life, you will plan treatment plans and treatment goals, participate in treatment meetings and evaluate development and pedagogical efforts. As part of this process you also handle written descriptions to parents and municipalities about the status of the treatment twice a year.

You will additionally be part of a small psychologist team of 3 psychologists and a larger multidisciplinary specialist team, consisting of psychologists, social worker, development consultant, occupational therapist and nurse.

Your profile

We are looking for a psychologist with an interest in working with children and young people with autism and cognitive disabilities.

Experience with the field and with working in multidisciplinary teams is an advantage but not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who thrives working independently and across in an organization with many professional disciplines. Who meets complexity with curiosity and professional reflection.

If you come with experience in the autism field, there is an opportunity to contribute with sparring and knowledge to our partners in the Social area in the Region Zealand (Region Sjælland).

In the position there are good opportunities for internal and external supervision with a view to practice education or specialist training.

Working hours

Following a staffing increase, we are seeking a psychologist in a position of 30-37 hours.

The hours are during daytime on weekdays.

Starting salary for union-employed

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told basic pay, centrally determined allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Himmelev – A treatment offer for children and young people

Himmelev is a treatment service for children and young people with autism spectrum disorders. Himmelev was founded in 1926 by Sofie Madsen, who had a precise eye for these children's particularities. We still focus on the individual child, and how we can adapt the surroundings so the child thrives, develops and learns optimally.

The institution has 20 overnight beds, six day places and an internal school with capacity for 22 children.
