About the job

Do you want to help create the best conditions for children, youth and families in Hørsholm Municipality? Then you can become part of a small, professionally strong team of seven public health nurses who place collaboration, quality and job satisfaction high on the agenda. Everyday life is anchored in our Child Health House, which provides a unique framework for close professional sparring, knowledge sharing and a strong collegial community.

We are looking for an engaged and professionally well-founded public health nurse for a permanent 37-hour week position with start on January 1, 2027.

About us: In Hørsholm Municipality we work with early intervention, prevention and health promotion for children, youth and families. We focus on high professional quality and on creating coherent pathways through close collaboration with the municipality’s other professional groups and partners.

A large part of our work takes place in our Child Health House, which forms the framework for both families’ contact with public health nursing and our professional community. Here we meet daily for consultations, joint tasks, lunch and professional sparring.

This means that you as a public health nurse do not face complex problems alone. You always have colleagues close by with whom you can discuss professional considerations, share experiences and get support.

As a small team, we know each other well and prioritize a culture where we help each other, share knowledge and develop our professional practice together.

About the position: You are employed under a combined arrangement, where you work with both pregnant, infant and toddler families as well as schoolchildren.

In the toddler area

We offer public health nursing through both home visits and consultations in our Child Health House.

In work with infants and their families, we use among other things

  • ABCD (ADBB)
  • AIMS
  • EPDS

as tools to support early detection and qualified professional assessment.

We offer

  • Groups for first-time parents
  • Groups for multiple-birth mothers
  • Father groups
  • Parenting Tuesday with health-related presentations

In the team we have special competences in areas such as breastfeeding, sleep, hygiene and digital health.

On the school side

We conduct health conversations in

  • Kindergarten class
  • 1st grade
  • 6th grade
  • 9th grade

The conversations are supported by questionnaires from the digital platform BørnUngeLiv.

We are in the process of further developing our efforts in the school area so that we even more support children’s well-being through health-pedagogical activities and community-oriented initiatives in collaboration with the schools.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Is educated as a public health nurse and wants to work in a combined arrangement
  • Is passionate about health promotion and preventive work
  • Works in a holistic way and has strong relational skills in meeting with children, youths, families and partners
  • Thrives in a varied daily life with many different tasks
  • Can work independently while actively participating in cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • Wants to contribute positively to the community and the ongoing development of public health nursing

You can expect

  • A daily life with professional community in our Child Health House
  • Caring, helpful and engaged colleagues
  • High professionalism and a focus on quality and development
  • A varied and meaningful daily life with a high degree of independence
  • An introduction program and a mentor arrangement, so you get a good start with us
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional sparring and competence development
