Consulting engineering firm seeks HVAC engineer

At Ingeniørfirmaet J&P A/S in Holbæk we are seeking an HVAC engineer who will work with design, technical calculations and solutions within heating, ventilation, cooling and indoor climate. You will become part of projects in both housing, commercial and industrial sectors, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the technical solutions and follow the work from the initial calculations to the finished building.

About J&P

We are a family-owned consulting engineering firm based in Holbæk. Since 1999 we have provided consultancy, and today we are 45 employees. We are large enough to handle complex projects, but still small enough that we know each other.

At J&P you will become part of a professional community where we work closely across disciplines, from structures and fire to sustainability, environment, electrical and HVAC. That means you do not sit alone with your solutions, but always have colleagues to brainstorm with.

Our tasks span a wide range, from smaller projects for private clients to larger buildings in housing, commercial and industry. Right now we are advising, among other things, on replacement of water pipes at a larger school, where we also work with solutions to reduce noise and improve indoor climate. In a cultural centre we help ensure a better indoor climate with a new ventilation system, and for a larger manufacturing company we work with solutions within cooling, ventilation and drainage.

About the position

As an HVAC engineer you follow the projects closely, from calculations and design to coordination with clients and partners. You help ensure that the solutions work in practice and meet applicable requirements. At the same time you get a job where you can see the result of your efforts: better air, less noise and an indoor climate that the people using the buildings notice every day.

You will become part of a team of seven colleagues in our installation department, where we work with MEP, cooling, electrical, ventilation and indoor climate.

Your tasks will include

• Design and dimensioning of heating, ventilation and cooling systems
• Preparation of technical calculations and documentation
• Calculations and assessments of energy and indoor climate
• Coordination of technical solutions with clients, architects and contractors
• Quality assurance and optimization of installations
• Participation in project meetings, supervision and follow-up on the construction site
• Ensuring that the solutions meet applicable requirements and the Building Regulations

Your profile

You are motivated by technical solutions and by creating good frameworks for those who use the buildings. You enjoy diving into the detail, you are good at collaboration, and you have a practical understanding of how the solutions should work in reality.

• Are educated as a plumbing or ventilation engineer or have a similar background
• Have knowledge of technical calculations and documentation
• Preferably have experience with Revit
• Work in a structured way and maintain focus on quality
• Thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration

Practical information

• Full-time position with start on 1 February 2027 or earlier if possible
• Workplace: Holbæk with easy access to the motorway and good parking options
• The position requires physical presence at our office in Holbæk as we prioritize close daily collaboration. It is therefore not possible to work from home.
