About the job

We are looking for a pedagogue or pedagogical assistant for our nursery and kindergarten respectively.

Are you passionate about pedagogy? Are you focused on children's play, development and communities? And would you like to be part of a day care where we together develop a strong pedagogical culture?

Then it might be you we are looking for!

At Milky Way Children's House we are seeking two new colleagues who want to make a difference for the children and help set the direction for the pedagogical everyday life. We are looking for one staff member for the nursery and one staff member for the kindergarten.

With us, it is the children who should succeed

We believe that all children do the best they can, and that it is our responsibility as professional adults to create the best conditions for all children to succeed.

We have a resource-oriented view of children, where we meet children with positive expectations, curiosity and respect for their individual prerequisites.

We are concerned with the child in the community. All children should experience that they belong, matter and have the opportunity to participate in meaningful communities.

It requires present adults, strong relationships and pedagogical learning environments where we take responsibility for creating participation opportunities for all children.

Who are we?

Milky Way Children's House is a relatively new day care in Ringsted Municipality. We are a house with good physical frameworks and lots of opportunities to develop our shared pedagogical foundation, culture and working community.

We want to create a day care where high professional standards, presence and engagement go hand in hand. A place where we are curious about our own practice, dare to ask questions and together take responsibility for developing the quality of the pedagogical work.

We work purposefully with

  • Play as a fundamental element in children’s well-being, development and learning.
  • Strong child communities and participation opportunities for all children.
  • Safe and meaningful relationships between children and adults.
  • Inclusive learning environments with attention to children's different needs and prerequisites.
  • A common pedagogical direction and a common professional language.
  • An engaging work community where we collaborate, reflect and develop together.

We believe that good pedagogy is created in partnership, and that we succeed best when we take joint responsibility for both the children and each other.

We are seeking a colleague for the nursery

Are you focused on the youngest children's well-being, development and need for safety, care and presence?

In the nursery, relationships are the foundation of all pedagogical work. We are looking for you who wants to create safe frames where children can explore the world, develop their independence and experience the joy of being part of a community.

We want a colleague who

  • Meets the youngest children with calm, presence, care and sensitivity.
  • Has an eye for the individual child's signals, needs and development.
  • Is focused on attachment and the importance of secure adult–child relationships.
  • Can create inspiring learning environments with room for play, movement, senses and curiosity.
  • Supports the children's emerging social interactions and relationships.
  • Sees the small moments in daily life as meaningful pedagogical opportunities.

We are seeking a colleague for the kindergarten

Are you focused on children's play, relationships and opportunities to become an important part of the community?

In the kindergarten we want to create a daily life where play has a central place, and where children have the opportunity to explore, experiment, immerse themselves and develop friendships.

We are looking for you who can actively participate in the children's play while also creating the frames that support the children's curiosity, independence and development.

We want a colleague who

  • Is focused on the importance of play for children's well-being, development and learning.
  • Can support and develop child communities and relationships between the children.
  • Has an eye for children who need a particular hand to find their place in the community.
  • Can create exciting and developmentally challenging learning environments both indoors and outdoors.
  • Dares to lead, stand beside and follow the children in their play and activities.
  • Works consciously with children's participation, independence and involvement opportunities.

Who are you – regardless of which department you apply to?

We are seeking a pedagogue or pedagogical assistant who

  • Is passionate about the pedagogical work and wants to make a difference for the children.
  • Has a positive and resource-oriented view of children.
  • Is present, engaged and clear in their approach to the children.
  • Initiates and takes responsibility for the pedagogical task.
  • Is curious about own and others' practice and eager for professional development.
  • Can give and receive professional sparring.
  • Contributes actively to a positive and binding working community.
  • Sees the value in collaborating, helping each other and lifting as a team.

It is important to us that you not only see yourself as part of a team, but as part of the whole Milky Way. We all share the responsibility for ensuring that the children meet a coherent and qualified pedagogical practice.

What can we offer you?

With us you get

  • Opportunity to shape the development of a relatively new day care.
  • A workplace with ambitions on the children's behalf.
  • Leadership that prioritizes presence, clarity, dialogue and professional development.
  • Opportunity to help develop a common pedagogical direction and culture.
  • A working community where we value collaboration, accountability and joint solutions.
  • A daily life with room for initiative, reflection and professional curiosity.

We aspire to create a workplace where employees feel their professional expertise is brought into play, where we acknowledge each other's contributions, and where we together take responsibility for creating the best everyday life for the children.

Will you be part of Milky Way?

If you can see yourself in our view of children and our pedagogical ambitions, we would love to hear from you.

You are welcome to apply for the position either in the nursery or the kindergarten. Please indicate in your application which department you are applying for.

We encourage both experienced and newly trained individuals to apply. The most important is that you want to be part of our shared task and contribute to the children's well-being, development and communities.

We look forward to hearing from you and perhaps welcoming you to Milky Way Children's House!
