About the job

Are you passionate about creating wellbeing and development for citizens through professionally grounded physiotherapy?

Do you work from a person-centered approach and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration?

In Silkeborg Municipality we are in the middle of an exciting development. With the new Elderly Act as a basis, we strengthen citizens' self-determination, dignity and quality of life. We do this by organizing citizen-near, interdisciplinary holistic care groups, where welfare staff, nurses and therapists work closely together on citizens' overall needs.

We are seeking a physiotherapist for a maternity cover from 1 January 2027.

About the position

We are looking for a physiotherapist with a strong theoretical foundation and a sharp eye for citizens' functional ability, well-being and resources. You will play a central role in our holistic care groups, where you, together with nurses, therapists, social and health personnel and other professions, create holistic pathways for the citizens.

You work from a person-centered approach, where the relationship, communication and understanding of the individual’s situation are decisive for the quality of the effort.

You can see yourself helping shape and develop the therapists' role in the interdisciplinary teams, including new workflows and ways to strengthen the rehabilitative approach.

Your main tasks

  • To examine, assess and plan physiotherapeutic interventions based on the citizen's goals and daily functioning, in accordance with the Elderly Act and Social Services Act §86, subs. 1 and 2
  • To work based on the principles of person-centered care and holistic rehabilitation
  • To perform preventive and maintenance physiotherapy
  • To actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings, sparring and complex pathways
  • To document professionally accurately and work according to applicable guidelines
  • To guide citizens, relatives and colleagues in everyday movement, training and functional ability
  • To undertake assessment of the physical work environment and ordering of aids, including at discharges
  • To contribute to competence development and quality assurance in our interdisciplinary teams
  • To assist with APV and handling of discharges from the hospital

We seek a colleague who

  • Is educated physiotherapist
  • Has strong professional competencies and actively applies theory and evidence in practice
  • Is concerned with citizens' well-being, quality of life and active participation in everyday life
  • Has experience with assessing the physical work environment in citizens' homes and can find good solutions for both citizen and staff
  • Thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and communicates clearly and constructively
  • Is curious, reflective and works systematically on developing their practice
  • Contributes to a positive and professional working environment

We offer

  • An ambitious workplace with focus on high professionalism and quality in citizen pathways
  • A strong multidisciplinary team that works closely and respectfully together
  • Opportunities for professional development and skills upgrading
  • A workplace focused on wellbeing, flexibility and good collegial relationships
  • An opportunity to influence the development of our professional practice

We look forward to reading your application supplemented with CV, authorization ID and exam certificates.

Salary and employment terms

The positions are 37 hours and are desired to be filled by 1 January 2027.

Salary and employment terms according to applicable collective agreement and local pay arrangement.

You will be self-scheduling and the working hours are primarily day hours in consultation with the manager based on workload
