Reading, play and go-getter spirit – become a staff member for a 13-year-old girl

Do you have experience with children and personal care, and would you like to create enjoyable afternoons together with a girl who has great drive? We are seeking an employee for 6 hours per week in Frederiksberg.

About the task

You will become part of the everyday life of a 13-year-old girl who enjoys reading, doing school tasks and going on trips. She has strong belief in her own abilities and participates, among other things, in cheerleading. Together you will make room for play, immersion and activities that fit her interests and possibilities.

The girl has a brain injury and reduced strength and mobility in the left arm and leg. She needs you to adapt activities to her developmental level and support her in what is difficult, while giving her the opportunity to try herself. She handles most transfers herself, but needs help with personal care, including diaper changes.

She also has epilepsy, and handling seizures and anti-seizure medication is part of the task. You will receive an epilepsy course through DUOS.

About you

You are unskilled and have experience with children and personal care. You can create a sense of security in close care situations and adapt your presence so the girl can participate on her own terms.

You enjoy reading, playing and taking the initiative to activities together with her. You give her time to try herself and help when she needs it. Experience with epilepsy and anti-seizure medication is an advantage.

You may also be English-speaking.

Working hours

The position is 6 hours per week

You can either apply for three weekdays from 17:00–19:00 or two weekdays from 17:00–20:00

We offer

You will become part of a family-owned company with many dedicated employees. You have a fixed advisor whom you can always get guidance from. Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for assistance in the citizen’s own home (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance, and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.

You will receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling – and you will not be able to avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
