Create safe afternoons for a 7-year-old girl in Roskilde

Do you want to use your experience with children in a close 1:1 task? You will be a fixed support for a 7-year-old girl and help shape your afternoons together with activities, care and presence

About the role

A walk in nature or an activity in the local area can be part of your afternoon together. You take initiative and set the framework for the time together with guidance from the parents on what suits the girl.

The girl attends a special kindergarten and has delayed psychomotor development, learning difficulties and a chromosomal abnormality. She does not have verbal speech but expresses her needs through sounds, facial expressions and gestures.

She needs close support and help with everyday practical tasks. You provide care and supervision as well as personal care. There are also transfers involved in the role.

About you

You are a pedagogue or unskilled with experience with children who need extra support in their development and daily life. You are attentive to the girl's sounds, facial expressions and gestures and can adapt activities and pace to her abilities. You take the initiative for companionship, create calm and clear boundaries, and are comfortable helping with personal care.

The family may also ask whether you are able to participate on trips. It is therefore advantageous if you are open to discussing this.

Working hours

The working hours are two fixed days or ad hoc Monday–Friday 16:00–19:00. The days are agreed with the family.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed duty phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for handicap assistance in citizens' own homes (minus BPA) entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is a part of your pension scheme.

You will receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling - and you will not be able to avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people with us at DUOS.
