Shift Leaders for permanent positions at the AMK Dispatch Center in Ballerup

Can you create calm, direction and overview when things move fast? We are seeking shift supervisors who want to stand centrally in the operational work and contribute to high patient safety, quality and efficient use of resources.

The AMK Dispatch Center is looking for engaged and action-oriented shift supervisors who can help support the daily operational operations.

As a shift supervisor you will have a central role in the operational management of the AMK Dispatch Center. You create overview, direction and calm in the daily operations and make the necessary operational decisions so that patient safety, quality and efficient use of resources go hand in hand.

You work closely with dispatchers, health professional assessors, doctors and other partners and contribute to a safe and coherent operation in everyday life, when the workload is high, and during special incidents.

The position is held in 12-hour day and night shifts with reference to the Section Manager for the shift supervisors. You do not have personnel responsibility, but you exercise clear and presence-based operational leadership close to the operation. You can see yourself as part of a small, self-planning group where you together are responsible for making the shift schedule work. It requires everyone to contribute, be flexible and back each other up.

As a shift supervisor you will

• Ensure stable and efficient operation and optimal use of pre-hospital resources
• Coordinate staffing and prioritize resources according to the current workload
• Support patient safety, quality, service targets and applicable guidelines
• Identify and manage operational risks and acute issues
• Be an operational sparring partner for staff and management
• Coordinate with internal and external partners in daily operations and during special incidents
• Support emergency preparedness and ensure relevant logkeeping and operations reporting
• Contribute to employee support, training, exercises and development of the AMK Dispatch Center
• Focus on the employees in the daily operation and handle, among other things, sparring, briefing and defusing.
• Work closely with the on-duty AMK doctor, both in everyday operations and in coordinating larger emergency incidents.

Employment terms

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can obtain a security clearance, and that you can maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.

You are employed as a shift supervisor, and the employment takes place under the applicable collective agreement for the Dispatch Center personnel 32.43.

The Emergency Preparedness primarily operates from Telegrafvej 5 in Ballerup, where you will also have your workplace. In connection with the merger of Region Zealand and Region Capital Region on January 1, 2027, Region Østdanmark will become one employment area.

Become part of something bigger

In 2027 Region Capital Region will merge with Region Zealand and become Region Østdanmark. In this connection we will change our name to the Pre-hospital Service and will have many new good colleagues.

Your primary workplace will be at Telegrafvej in Ballerup.

The current Emergency Preparedness is responsible for the pre-hospital effort in the Capital Region and aims to create a cohesive emergency preparedness for the region’s 1.8 million inhabitants.

Our tasks include receiving calls to the Emergency Number 1813 and 1-1-2, dispatching and driving ambulances across the region, and coordinating the region’s pre-hospital effort – both for everyday tasks and for large complex incidents.
