About the job

Wastewater treatment is a strategic development area for Artelia, and we will help shape the solutions, collaborations and professional environments that future wastewater treatment plants require.

We already have strong capabilities across environmental matters, regulatory affairs, climate adaptation, facilities, automation and technical installations. At the same time, we are part of an international group with extensive experience from large wastewater treatment plant projects in Europe.

Now we want to strengthen both our process engineering profile and our relationships with the market. Therefore we are seeking an experienced colleague who will help set the direction for the area and create something together with us.

You will get a central position in the development of our market area within wastewater treatment. Here you will bring your professional expertise, your market knowledge and your relationships into play and be part of making Artelia a relevant and clearly recognizable partner for utilities and other stakeholders in the industry.

An opportunity to combine expertise, market and development

At Artelia we offer an opportunity to combine expertise, clients and business development within an area that has been designated as a strategic focus.

You will influence the direction for the area and have the opportunity to develop our relationships and services in close collaboration with colleagues from the market areas Water & Environment and Energy & Industry. You will be involved in identifying where Artelia can make a difference, which tasks and collaborations we should pursue, and which competencies we should bring together.

We believe that opportunities develop through skilled employees, strong customer relationships and relevant professional knowledge. Therefore you will become an important part of our contact with the market and of the work to build Artelia's position. This happens with managerial support and on a foundation of existing competencies that must be gathered, strengthened and brought more clearly into play.

Your professional knowledge

You have a solid understanding of treatment plants and wastewater treatment and experience in several of the following areas:

  • Process design and optimization of wastewater treatment plants
  • Master plans, capacity analyses and future-proofing of wastewater treatment plants
  • Energy optimization, resource recovery and sludge treatment
  • Hydraulics, control and process integration
  • Regulatory affairs and dialogue with utilities and public contracting authorities
  • Interdisciplinary advisory services for large wastewater and treatment plant projects

The most important is not that you are a specialist in all areas. The crucial thing is that you understand the disciplinary contexts, can see customers' needs and are able to assemble the right competencies around a task or an opportunity.

Your experience

  • You have experience with dialogue with utilities and other key players in the industry and understand their needs, framework conditions and decision-making processes. Experience that you can translate into relevant collaborations, proposals and advisory services.
  • You thrive at the intersection of expertise, customers and business development.
  • You have a desire to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones.
  • You are motivated to develop a market area, contribute to prioritizing the right opportunities and be part of building a team around the area.
  • You may not necessarily have had formal market responsibility, but we expect you to have an eye for the market and a willingness to take co-responsibility for Artelia's development in the area

Why you should choose Artelia

  • You will become part of a strategic initiative with the support of management.
  • You will have a real opportunity to influence the direction of our market area within wastewater treatment.
  • You will have a role where expertise, customer relationships and business development are closely connected.
  • You will become part of an employee-owned company with short decision paths and room for initiative.
  • You will have strong, cross-disciplinary competencies around you and the opportunity to assemble the right profiles for clients and tasks.
  • You will not only carry out projects. You will help create the opportunities, relationships and the professional environment from which future projects will grow.

For the right profile, this is more than a new job. It is an opportunity to use your expertise, experience and network to create something that extends beyond individual projects. You will become part of developing Artelia's position in wastewater treatment and have the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on both the market, the customers and the professional environment.

We offer

  • Many exciting and challenging projects
  • A strong professional network with engaged and capable colleagues
  • A culture where well-being, collaboration and working conditions are highly prioritized
  • A dynamic and inspiring environment with ample opportunity for personal development
  • A workplace where “freedom with responsibility” is a core value
  • Good career opportunities, supported by internal training programs in the Academy, where we teach leadership, project management, BIM and other professional areas
  • Attractive employee benefits including health insurance, employee bonus, lunch scheme, active staff clubs, sport and cultural events, study trips and an attractive salary package.

In Artelia there is room for diversity, and we see diversity as a strength. Therefore we encourage all qualified to apply for the position – regardless of ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age.
