Professionally strong staff for Bogfinkevej – would you like to be on board from the start?

We are looking for staff who want to work with citizens with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, attention disorders or other mental illnesses, including citizens with outwardly challenging or self-harming behavior.

Bogfinkevej is a newly established specialized offering where we create a sheltered, safe and structured environment for citizens with extensive support needs.

The housing is established as individual “solist offers,” where the individual citizen has their own home and tailored surroundings. As an employee you will not stand alone. You will join a shared professional environment where staff rotate between citizens and have the opportunity to work with different citizens and issues. The daily organization provides good opportunities for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and joint reflection – both in daily work and around the individual citizen’s development and well-being.

We are looking for you who can do something truly special

You can see the value in working with people where relationship, structure, predictability and professional precision are crucial.

You must be able to stay calm in situations where the citizen’s stress level rises, and where behavior can become challenging.

You must be able to work preventively and de-escalate – and to see behavior as communication.

You can work systematically, follow an agreed professional direction and at the same time think independently?

read the citizen’s signals and respond to them in time

work relationally – even when the relationship is challenged

collaborate closely with colleagues and other professional groups.

We do not expect you to know everything from day one - but we do expect you to have the courage and willingness to learn.

Bogfinkevej is a service where professionalism is a prerequisite and a priority.

We do not believe that challenging behavior is solved with more power or more control - We believe in professionalism, relation, prevention, structure and a common approach. Therefore we work systematically with citizens’ well-being and with the factors that can help prevent stress and conflicts from escalating.

We use, among others

LA2U, KRAP, ASK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), SIKK, LA2U, risk assessments as well as systematic observation and documentation.

We work with shared professional strategies, risk assessment, prevention and de-escalation, and we actively use each other for sparring and reflection.

We do not consider outwardly aggressive behavior to define the citizen’s identity.

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary environment and at Bogfinkevej we work in a multidisciplinary way. You will collaborate with educators, social and health care assistants, occupational therapists and nurses.

We believe that the best solutions arise when different professional backgrounds come together around the citizen.

Who are the citizens?

Bogfinkevej is a service for citizens with developmental disabilities and complex support needs around the clock. The citizens may include autism, ADHD as well as physical and mental functional impairments. Therefore structure, predictability, recognizability and clear communication are central elements in daily life.

The citizens’ needs vary, and therefore the effort must always be tailored to the individual. This also means you must be able to work individually and flexibly within a shared professional framework.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have an educational or health-professional background and preferably experience from, for example: psychiatry · disability · autism field · special needs · complex residential care.

You may have worked at a highly specialized residential care facility.

You may have experience with Low Arousal, conflict de-escalation, risk assessment or other specialized approaches. Or perhaps you have a strong professional foundation and a desire to specialize further.

The most important is that you have the professionalism, calm and human perspective to work with the target group.

Our core task in the field of disability is based on the following core task

”In the disability sector we collaborate with the citizen to create a safe, homely and developing environment. We take our starting point in each individual’s needs, wishes and dreams, so the citizen is supported to be an actor in their own life.”

That is our shared direction - Even when everyday life is complex - Even when behavior is challenging - And even when development occurs in very small steps.

Bogfinkevej is a service in development.

You therefore have a special opportunity to help shape the culture, develop the professional practice and create the shared foundation on which the service will stand.

We are seeking more staff who want to take part in that task.

Positions are initially 37 hours per week, but requests for part-time can be accommodated.

Working hours will be variable with day and evening shifts as well as fixed work every other weekend.

Start date: 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.
