Re-advertisement: We are seeking a social- and health care assistant for an evening shift of 28 hours per week, 5:2, with a shift every 2nd weekend (odd weeks) in department 2.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

You will receive

We are looking for a social- and health care assistant who

• Wants to contribute to continuing our positive development
• Is passionate about working with elderly residents, e.g. with dementia
• Can work from a person-centered care and with a rehabilitative approach focusing on the resident's needs and self-determination
• Wants to gain a strong professional foundation through a high-level professional practice community
• Has good situational awareness of what the individual resident, relatives or colleagues need
• Has an overview and the ability to act decisively
• Has good collaboration skills with residents, relatives, colleagues and partners
• Experience from similar roles is preferred. If you are newly educated, ready for development and learning
• Preferably has knowledge of CURA (training offered otherwise)

Who are we

Hvissinge Elderly Center has 3 care departments with a total of 69 residents. At the elderly center there is a day center with 35 guests, a dementia day center with about 9 daily guests, and an in-house production kitchen with meal service to the municipality's home-living elderly. Glostrup Municipality works with the concept “Mastery and Unfolding”, which should ensure that we create as much value as possible for the citizens.

We are a house where traditions have a place in the new thinking, and we place emphasis on good experiences for everyone in the house. We have both a day center, departments for residents with dementia, late brain injury, mental illness, neurological diseases as well as elderly who need 24-hour care at the elderly center.

• We focus on early detection and use methods such as triage and resident conferences.
• We work according to the principles from the Dementia Travel Team of the Danish Health Authority on all departments.
• We pay attention to competence development – through education, professional sparring and delegation.
• We work with the Elderly Care Act's values of self-determination, trust and communities as the foundation for holistic care

We are a house that collaborates across departments, and the house presents itself as a cohesive unit despite different professional specialisms.
