Do you want a developing, dynamic and exciting job, and would you like to try your hand at a versatile and professionally challenging specialty? Then we would like to hear from you.

Right now we are looking for a social- and health care assistant for day shift (with weekend shift every third weekend) to our rehabilitation department at Vigerslevvej in Valby. If you do not already have experience with rehabilitation, you now have the opportunity to experience how exciting, versatile and professionally challenging the specialty is.

We are looking for you who want to be part of a multidisciplinary team that every day year-round collaborates to help people to again live the life they want.

Right now we are in the middle of an organizational change, as of 1 January 2027 we will transfer to the region. This means that you must be ready for change and new challenges. The center will continue to be operated by the City of Copenhagen, but the responsibility for treatment lies with the region.

About the department

We have in-patients for temporary 24-hour stays, and we have a high flow of admissions and discharges. As more citizens are discharged earlier from hospitals, there will also be more citizens who for a shorter period need acute and individually tailored care and training to quickly regain lost skills or acquire new strategies so that they can cope at home again.

We have citizens from all specialties. Common to them is that they are 65+ years old and either come from home or from hospital. The complexity among these citizens is high, which is why you also here have the chance to further develop yourself within the field.

Your future colleagues will consist of nurses, social- and health care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pharmaconomists, cleaning and kitchen staff, etc. Our focus area is the good citizen journey, and our multidisciplinary staff composition ensures that we every day provide a strong professional effort for all our citizens.

In the Center for Rehabilitation and Acute Care we want to be leaders in quality and professionalism within rehabilitation, and therefore we have constant focus on development.

You will be responsible for personal care and follow up on goals and plans, and it is your responsibility that the citizen receives the right care and treatment. It would be attractive for us if you have experience as a mentor/guide.

We want a colleague who

  • works independently and can maintain overview
  • collaborates both within and across disciplines
  • is responsible
  • has IT experience and preferably experience with Cura
  • has a positive attitude and good humor

It is also a plus if you have a broad professional background and experience from rehabilitation.

With us you can expect

  • good introduction, so you get to know your colleagues and the rest of the house well
  • time for reflection, sparring and development
  • a department with a strong focus on the working environment
  • close multidisciplinary collaboration in daily life to meet the needs of each individual citizen
  • focus on a good learning environment, visible leadership and room for new thinking
  • a versatile workplace

Who are we – and do you want to join?

We want to be Denmark’s best workplace. We have an ambition that when we talk about our place, we talk about it with pride. We believe we can create the best workplace with the best colleagues, who every day go to work and perform meaningful work. And we would like you to join the team.

You invest in us, and we invest in you. In the City of Copenhagen there are good development opportunities, and the municipality supports the needs and requirements for professional development.
