About the job

Do you want to work somewhere where your professionalism is actively used in a multidisciplinary environment and where relationships, reflection and professional judgment are a central part of everyday life?

About us

We are a nursing home in Odense Municipality with passionate staff who have a strong vision to improve the quality of life for our residents. We believe that close cooperation between staff and residents is the key to wellbeing and comfort. With us we believe the best results are created in collaboration and that a strong culture builds on trust, openness and responsibility.

We work from a holistic and rehabilitative approach, and collaborate across professions in everyday life around the residents. Working with us requires that you can balance clarity, care and professional judgment in meeting people who may be in complex life situations. We know that the work can be demanding, but also meaningful. Therefore we prioritize both professional reflection, collaboration and a strong collegial community, where there is also room for humor and informal moments with colleagues, both during and outside working hours.

About the position

We are seeking a social and health care assistant or a social and health care helper for a fixed evening shift at a minimum of 28 hours, who would like to make a difference for our residents every single day. You will work in a fixed 5-2 rotation where your workdays are Wednesday and Thursday and every 2nd weekend in odd weeks.

As an employee at Herluf Trolle you will have an important role in ensuring high quality care and professional sparring with your colleagues. We work with citizens including those with dementia, where relationships, structure and professional insight are decisive. Therefore we value both your professionalism and your ability to see the person behind the illness.

We offer

  • An exciting and sometimes busy everyday life – where two days are rarely the same
  • Opportunities for professional development, e.g., by participating in courses or further education
  • Daily sparring with skilled colleagues and nurses
  • A working environment with a high ceiling, where ideas and initiatives are taken seriously
  • A workplace where wellbeing, community and job satisfaction are prioritized
  • Increased focus on preventing hospital admissions and early detection of emerging illness

We expect that you

  • Are educated assistant or helper
  • Have an interest in – or experience with – dementia and complex citizen pathways
  • Can work structurally, independently and can take responsibility
  • Maintain an overview in a busy everyday life
  • Dare to think creatively and find new solutions in care
  • Contribute positively to the community and wellbeing in the staff group
  • Want to develop professionally and help your colleagues
