Social- and health care assistant students for the main programme January 2027

We are seeking motivated social and health care assistant trainees with employment in either the main programme starting 18 January 2027.

As a trainee in Rebild Municipality you are guaranteed employment with Rebild Municipality after completing the education.

Employment includes

• Main programme for Social and Health Care Assistant lasting 2 years and 9 months. The main programme alternates between school terms at SOSU Nord and on-the-job training at an elder care center, the home care service, psychiatry, and hospital training.

About the education

As a social and health care assistant you help ensure that citizens and patients have a good progression in their contact with the health service.

In your education to become a social and health care assistant you will meet different people – young, elderly, sick, disabled, etc. – who all to varying degrees need care, help and guidance. Therefore it is important that you as a person have understanding, curiosity, empathy and an interest in other people.

You learn to work professionally, plan and coordinate holistic nursing and rehabilitation so that the citizen experiences high quality in the contact with you as a Social and Health Care Assistant and the health service.

During your education you will learn different forms of communication, as you meet many different citizens/patients and partners and it requires both your written and oral communication skills.

Becoming a social and health care assistant is a career path that can be a stepping stone to further education. It can provide job opportunities in different areas e.g. elderly care, hospital and psychiatry.

• Motivated application as well as CV
• If you are 25 years or older you must include a Real Competence Assessment (RKV), prepared by SOSU Nord, in the application.
• Copy of residence and work permit if you are not a Danish citizen.
• Preferably a statement/recommendation from your current/previous employer.
• If you are approved as an adult apprentice please attach the pre-approval.
