Social and Healthcare Assistant for evening shift at Lokalteam East in Køge

We are looking for a skilled Social and Health Care Assistant (SHA) for a permanent evening shift in our mobile nursing and home care team at Lokalteam Øst.

We have a centrally located base in Køge close to public transport.

You will work in a 5–2 rotation with shifts every second weekend. Shifts are from 15:00 to 23:00.

About the job You will become part of a team where we work with coherent care, prevention and rehabilitation in the citizens' own homes.

We operate from the belief that each citizen experiences that the help is based on their concrete needs, and that there is continuity and as few staff as possible entering the citizen’s home.

Your tasks

You will among other things need to work with

• Holistic care based on a preventive and rehabilitative approach for each citizen.
• Follow-up on SUL/SEL/Older Act initiatives
• Be proactive in seeking knowledge about new professional instructions and guidelines.
• Planning of your own driving lists and tasks in collaboration with colleagues in the mini-team.

Concrete tasks include: Personal hygiene, turning/lying, tube feeding, stoma care, catheter care, medication management and TOBS score, assessment of acutely arising illness, palliative care initiatives.

About Lokalteam Øst In Lokalteam Køge Øst we are about 90 dedicated employees with various professional backgrounds such as social and health care helpers, social and health care assistants, nurses and therapists.

In addition we have a strong team of regular substitutes, who are an important part of our community.

We work every day to create security, continuity and quality of life for the citizens we help. At night we solve tasks across the entire Køge Municipality, and together we ensure that citizens experience presence and care around the clock.

You report to Gymnasievej 8 in Køge, where the evening starts together with colleagues. From here we drive out to the citizens, and during the evening shifts visits take place by car.

The evening shift team consists of about eight routes and a nice mix of social and health care helpers and SHA's. We plan the day’s tasks together and help each other when needed.

Who are we looking for? It is a requirement that you are trained as a social- and health care assistant with a Danish authorization. We would prefer that you have experience with the job as an SHA, but you can also be a talented recent graduate.

It is also a requirement that you hold a manual transmission driving licence. A company car will be available.

Application and terms The position is 28 hours in a permanent evening shift. It is possible to supplement to full-time in other shift patterns if you wish.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and after negotiation with the representative organization.
