About the job

Do you want to use your professional expertise to create a daily life that feels like home? We are seeking a social- and health care assistant who is passionate about their profession, values close collaboration, and wants to build strong relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.

You will become part of a fixed team in a house with 12 residents, where we together create a safe home in a living and housing environment. The residents' wishes, habits and life stories are the starting point for our work, and you will have the opportunity to bring both your professionalism and your ideas into play.

We offer a fixed day shift position of 30–37 hours per week with weekend duty every 2nd or every 3rd weekend. Start as soon as possible.

With us you get

  • Influence on your everyday life – a varied working day with room for independence, initiative and professional responsibility
  • Trust and room to breathe – we work in a trust-based manner and give space for new ideas and different perspectives.
  • A secure start – you will receive a thorough introduction and training, so you are well equipped for your tasks.
  • A strong collegial community – you will become part of an engaged and professionally skilled team where we help each other and find solutions together.
  • Close relationships with residents – you will have the opportunity to get to know each resident well and contribute to a meaningful daily life.
  • Room to create life in the house – you help set activities in motion and participate based on residents' wishes and interests.
  • Professional development and responsibility – we reflect together on our practice, and after thorough training you will be responsible for leading the daily triage meetings.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is passionate about elderly care and has experience in the elderly sector.
  • Values relationships over tasks and works with person-centered care based on the resident's life story, wishes and needs.
  • Values collaboration with relatives and meets them with openness and respect.
  • Brings your professional expertise into play and thrives in a multidisciplinary collaboration where we learn from each other.
  • Works in a structured way and takes responsibility – also when there is a need for you to lead and be a professional role model.
  • Is curious about their own practice and meets each resident with a positive and nuanced view of humanity.
  • Has experience with documentation and expresses themselves clearly in writing and speech. We use Nexus.
  • Contributes to a good working environment with good humor, engagement and curiosity.

At Bøgebakken we work in teams with fixed colleagues and help each other across the houses. We are several professional groups under one roof, and together we work to support each individual resident's quality of life.

The daily triage is a common professional gathering point, where we share observations, reflect on our practice and develop our professional skills.

About us Bøgebakken is a lovely newer care center, located in scenic surroundings in Allerslev, Lejre Municipality - close to Lejre Station (10 minutes on foot).

10 minutes by car from Roskilde, 27 minutes by car from Holbæk, 20 minutes by car from Høje-Taastrup.

The care center consists of seven smaller units, where between 9-12 lovely residents live in each house. Two of the seven houses are sheltered units for residents with a complex dementia condition. Three houses have 2-3 temporary places.

The center is built around the care principles in the Living and Living concept, where residents' daily life is central with person-centered care and dialogue as the focus in the relationship to our residents, the individual needs and resources. The staff groups are built into co-governed teams and work from the rehabilitative approach.

The staff see the residents as equals and collaborate with residents and relatives with care, respect and empathy. We have a good collaboration with relatives, whom we see as important partners and resources.

We work with competency development through personal competency cards and there are SPL/SSA meetings held once a month, with teaching and sparring.

We are age- and experience-mixed, a varied staff group of both social- and health care helpers/assistants and center nurses, who are passionate about our job and who want to ensure our residents as cozy and content-rich daily life as possible. We have close multidisciplinary collaboration with e.g. dementia coordinator, pharmaconomist, mobility coordinator and training therapists.

In addition we have a large and very active network of volunteers who want to help make Bøgebakken a good place to live for our residents.

Bøgebakken prioritizes visible leadership. Leadership and staff prioritize together the good working environment and the good tone. In addition we emphasize arranging the right competencies for the right task.

Salary and employment We offer employment as day shift 30-37 hours per week with weekend duty every 2nd weekend or every 2nd/4th weekend. Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis and we hire when we have found the right candidate.

You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement and the principles of the "ny løn". A police clearance certificate is required for employment.

We look forward to hearing from you.
