Who are we?

Team West manages the housing communities Møllevej and Bækgården in Borup as well as §85-supported housing in Borup and surrounding areas. The target group in the housing communities is youths aged 18–35 who are supported towards an independent adult life in their own housing. The §85-target group out in the city are citizens from 18 years and up.

More about the position

We are 9 employees in our team. We are professionally strong, diverse, and skilled at utilizing each other’s competences. We hold weekly professional meetings and meet each other in the office daily. We often use buddy systems and work together to guide and support citizens.

In the housing communities, the youths get the opportunity to participate in activities, social training, form new relationships, and choose communities to join.

What do we succeed with?

We work with the starting point of what development means for the individual citizen. For some, it’s about becoming ready to move into their own housing, while for others it’s about creating structure in daily life, forming and maintaining relationships, and gaining courage to participate in new communities.

We succeed when the citizen experiences greater independence and more opportunities to live the life they want. It could be getting control of finances and e-Boks, getting closer to education or employment, or learning to handle the challenges they face.

Who are you?

• Educated Social Pedagogue
• Has experience with psychiatry, autism, or other complex challenges
• Can work recovery-oriented with a focus on communities
• Has a driver’s license and is prepared to use it in the job
• Can work across disciplines
• You are curious and can translate the citizen’s needs, wishes, and dreams into concrete goals and pedagogical practice

We have a broad professional foundation. We work with MI (Motivational Interviewing), Rehabilitation, Neuropedagogy, and Autism-related expertise. We do not expect you to know everything, but that the skills you bring can be used to strengthen the team. We expect you to be willing to acquire new knowledge.

As an adviser you often work individually, but not alone. We have an office in the housing communities and a collegial base here, and work in the team. We also have a strong collaboration with the other teams in Køge, and try to meet the rest of the organization as often as possible.

We base everything on the citizens and therefore work flexibly. We plan our own work schedule and move appointments in collaboration with the citizens’ needs. This means that you can organize your working hours yourself on a daily basis.

You can expect to work one weekday evening per week until 21:00, as well as every 4th weekend, where shifts are: Friday 15–22, Saturday and Sunday from 9–16. We also work on holidays, where we distribute shifts among us in a group.

You will have individual guidance out with the citizen, combined with strong collegial collaboration and shifts in the community, where you help offer and organize socializing and activities.
