Children and Youth Centre Norddjurs (BUCN)

Skovbo is currently seeking 1 social-pedagogical staff member, with start on 01 December 2026.

Skovbo is a flexible 24-hour and support accommodation facility, approved for children and young people between 0 and 18 years, where there is a focus on quality and effectiveness in task solving. With us your effort can make a marked difference in an exciting target group, and for the individual child.

The target group is children and young people with attention disorders, developmental disorders, mental retardation and social-pedagogical support needs.

Core task

Our daily work with children and young people involves care and social-pedagogical approaches, both on a reflection level and in practice.

At BUCN we place great emphasis on creating a safe and home-like refuge for our children and young people. We work to create a structured, predictable and recognizable everyday life in an environment that forms the foundation for well-being, development and learning.

As a new employee in our organization you will undergo a thorough introduction and an onboarding program.

Pedagogical approach

In our professional approach we use a resource-oriented, recognizing and systemic approach, with incorporation of theoretical and practical knowledge that supports the child’s/young person’s zone of proximal development. We use low-arousal, mentalization, etc.

Expectations of you

• You have a pedagogical education or have special-pedagogical experience within the target group
• You are a team player and value the work environment highly, as it is a prerequisite for our professional success as a team
• You take active co-responsibility to acquire a high professional level. This means that you can observe, reflect, plan, initiate, implement, document and evaluate the pedagogical practice within the area
• You are structured and detail-oriented
• Are as a person calm and have a good overview
• You have a developmental-oriented view and have the ability to mentalize that enables you to work on yourself in a professional context
• You create collaborative relationships with children, young people, relatives, colleagues and leadership
• It would be an advantage if you have experience with autism pedagogy, LA. or KRAP
• Have good knowledge of IT since documentation is handled in the Nexus platform
• You have a driving license and use it

The position's working hours are distributed primarily to every other Monday, Friday and weekend , where an example of a 14-day duty schedule could distribute as follows:

The timetable is indicative and there may be deviations in times and in days worked.

The support stay has few closing days per year.

Employment with start 01 December 2026

The project position is 30 hours per week, with a heavier hour load in one week and very free opposite week.

The project position is time-limited and ends when the project is completed.

Remuneration will be according to the agreement between SL and KL following the principles of Ny Løn.

BUCN aims for a balanced work life and we have therefore entered into a local agreement with SL - local agreement .
