About Bakkehuset

Bakkehuset is a §108 residential care offering for adults with diagnoses within autism spectrum disorders and reduced functional ability. We are located close to Glostrup Hospital and consist of three units – House 7, 9 and 11 – with a total of 18 residents aged 25–67 years. All residents have their own apartments, and we prioritize a safe and active environment with good outdoor areas and easy access to the local area’s facilities.

The units work closely together to create a lively and professional environment for both residents and staff.

All residents need personal support and care, including help with personal care as needed.

Our professional approach

At Bakkehuset we work with

• KRAP – which you are expected to train in through our internal program
• Visual support (e.g. Boardmaker)
• Low Arousal
• Gentle Teaching as a fundamental approach

You will receive ongoing training in the methods you have not yet mastered.

Who are you?

We are seeking a pedagogue – or a staff member with documented experience from the autism field – who thrives in a professionally strong and caring environment.

We expect that you

• are proficient in written documentation
• preferably have knowledge of Cura (not a requirement)
• have a medication course or are willing to take it
• show respect, patience and put the resident at the center
• actively participate in the development of KRAP methodology and the autism-related work
• know your own limits and use your colleagues and partners constructively
• take initiative, are flexible and dutiful

Salary and terms of employment

• The position is 37 hours , with start as soon as possible
• Working hours are between 07:00–23:30
• Work on all days of the week, with a work weekend every second week
• Shift schedule in a 4-week rotation
• Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement – pay set according to SL’s collective agreement
