Social pedagogue at Rosenvænget – help shape the interventions of the future

At Rosenvænget we are looking for a social educator who thrives in an environment where no day is the same, and where professional reflection, inter-disciplinary collaboration and the citizen's perspective are the driving forces of our work.

We are facing an exciting development, where we expect to receive more citizens with a need for observation, assessment and clarification of future support needs. Therefore we are seeking a colleague who is curious about people's potentials, has an eye for resources and development opportunities and wishes to be an active contributor in creating the best possible framework for the individual citizen.

The positions are, as a rule, 37 hours per week and include day and evening shifts in the hours 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. We typically work every other weekend, and a lower number of hours can be agreed.

About Rosenvænget

Rosenvænget is a residential facility under § 107/108 within the Adult Social Area. Citizens have various physical, mental and cognitive impairments and may need support in a wide range of life areas. We are facing an exciting development, where Rosenvænget will increasingly receive citizens with a need for observation, professional assessments and clarification of future support needs.

This provides an opportunity to work closely with the individual citizen's development and contribute to creating a solid professional basis for the interventions and the support that will ensure the best possible quality of life and well-being.

Our approach is anchored in the citizen's resources, wishes and dreams. We work purposefully to support the citizens' possibilities to actively participate in their own lives and experience the greatest possible self-determination, participation and well-being. Therefore we meet citizens with respect, curiosity and a high professional awareness of the importance of relationships, communication and individually tailored interventions.

You will become part of a committed and cross-disciplinary team consisting of social educators, social- and health-care assistants, care staff, an occupational therapist and a nurse. Together we work to create a safe, developing and meaningful home for the citizens.

Your tasks include

• contact person function and collaboration with the citizen on goals and development
• planning, implementation and evaluation of pedagogical interventions
• support for daily tasks, activities and social communities
• personal care, care and medication management
• documentation and follow-up in Nexus
• interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues, relatives and partners
• observation and professional assessments of citizens' resources, needs and development opportunities.

We work with the starting point of the citizen's wishes, resources and dreams, and emphasize a professionally grounded, rehabilitative and relationship-oriented approach.

We are looking for you who

• is educated as a social educator and preferably has experience with the disability sector
• works rehabilitatively and resource-oriented
• is professionally curious and reflective
• sees documentation as an important professional tool
• builds trustful relationships with respect and recognition
• contributes to interdisciplinary collaboration and development.

If you have special competences or experience as a mentor or resource person, we would like to put them to use.
