Social educator for the Enghusene Residential Facility

Due to expansion and qualification of the daytime efforts, we have a fixed-term position available where the pedagogical effort will help further develop stability, harmonized and demand-adjusted everyday life as well as continuity and support for our staffing around the clock. Enghusene Residential Facility is a highly specialized offering and is part of the Brøndby Residential Facilities. At Enghusene there are 9 residents with varying support needs and levels of complexity.

Enghusene is a SEL §108 facility for adults with intellectual disabilities and reduced physical and mental functioning. Enghusene consists of sheltered units for residents with particularly complex, problem-causing and outward-facing behavior. Enghusene is approved to receive residents with court types 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Due to the residents’ particularly complex life circumstances and behavior, the pedagogical and health care efforts are functionally determined and state-specific. We focus on creating well-being, meaning and development for our residents in the different settings that residents with a court type and problem-causing behavior live in. There is a team around each resident who coordinates the pedagogical efforts and initiatives.

It is expected that one works loyally according to agreements, rules and guidelines in the individual interventions, as otherwise it can have potential consequences for the residents’ well-being and the employees’ psychological safety and physical security.

We design interventions based on the premise of aligned pedagogy. Our approaches and requirements must constantly be adjusted and harmonized with the residents’ daily form and condition. Our method catalog includes, among others, Low Arousal, Neuropedagogy, KRAP and LA2. In 2027 we will implement LA2u, thereby expanding our catalog of competencies. We work with prevention and a holistic focus on residents’ lives, where the pedagogical and health care efforts are combined.

One of the core tasks is to ensure that residents have a safe, recognizable and structured daily life, and receive the right support for everyday life, personal care and development.

Temporarily we are located in Brøndby Strand at Lagesminde Allé 60, but we expect to move back to Brøndbyøster in late summer 2027, where a newly built institution will be ready for us.

We are a 24-hour facility, but this position may have day shifts from Monday to Friday for a period of 6 months.

We are looking for colleagues who

• Are curious, ask questions and have a professional and responsible focus on interventions and measures
• Possibly have experience from a similar target group and/or from the social sector.
• Can develop an understanding that residents are very complex and can have problem-causing and outward-reacting behavior. Especially if structures, agreements and safety measures are not followed.
• Have IT skills at user level
• Possibly have knowledge of methods such as KRAP, Low Arousal, LA2 and Neuropedagogy
• Appreciate sparring, take responsibility for own practice and reflection and have a focus on a positive narrative.
• Possibly have experience with residents with outward-reacting and problem-causing behavior.

The position is 32 hours, and we would like the position to be filled by 1.11.2026 or by agreement, and lasts 6 months.
