Social pedagogue sought for Hald Ege

We are experiencing an influx of children and young people and need to upsize the staff group, therefore we are looking for a proactive and responsible social pedagogue.

Are you the pedagogue who can hold yourself in the meeting with children and youths who have challenging behavior? And can you simultaneously take care of the special pedagogical treatment that the target group at Hald Ege needs, then you are the one we are looking for.

About Hald Ege

Hald Ege is a Children and Youth Home under § 43 of the Danish Children’s Act for children and youths aged 5-23 years and a temporary residential care facility under § 107 in the SEL for youths aged 18-20. Hald Ege is part of the Special Area for Children and Youth in the Region of Central Denmark and is geographically located in Viborg. We have 16 places, distributed across two departments.

Hald Ege’s target group generally comprises children and youths with normal intelligence who have attachment disorders, attention disorders, developmental disorders/ASD and various anxiety disorders. The children may exhibit outwardly aggressive and/or self-harming behavior, eating disorders, and verbally and/or physically abusive behavior.

About the position

You will be employed as a contact pedagogue in one of our two departments and, together with a colleague, will have the primary responsibility for two residents. You will join a team of about eight social pedagogues around the special pedagogical treatment of up to eight residents. Shifts will consist of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

According to our local agreements, long shifts of up to 16 hours can be worked. There will predominantly be shifts of a maximum of 12 hours. You will have influence on your own work schedule with regard to a fixed weekly day off, etc.

About the Special Area for Children and Youth

The Special Area for Children and Youth (SBU) is one of eight special areas within the Region of Central Denmark's specialized social services. SBU's target group is characterized by both normal- and not-normally gifted children and youths with complex problems such as pervasive developmental disorder, attachment disorders, behavioral disorders, attention disorders, specific learning difficulties, compulsive behavior and/or brain injuries.

We are seeking a pedagogue for a permanent position with pay and employment terms in accordance with the collective agreement between SL and Danish Regions. We expect that you have a driver's license as there will be transportation of residents.
