About the job

Would you like to work with "Housing First" and substance misuse assessment at the Youth Center Brønderslev?

The Youth Center Brønderslev is seeking you for a permanent full-time position with start as soon as possible and preferably no later than December 1, 2026.

We are looking for a new colleague for the specialized team at the Youth Center, which works purposefully with the target group for substance abuse and homelessness. The position is a combined role, where your working hours will be divided approximately 70% on our "Housing First" effort and 30% on visiting citizens for substance abuse treatment.

Housing First: We want to strengthen the prevention of homelessness as well as the search for a placement in a care home. It is especially important for the sake of the young person to ensure sufficient resources to quickly work with establishing and providing the necessary support in their own housing, if the young person has stayed at a care home. Our new advisor shall initiate support according to established methods such as CTI, ACT and ICM, but also be willing to develop new practice.

Substance misuse assessment: You will be responsible for assessing youths aged 18-29 for substance abuse treatment. We expect you to have knowledge of the typical substance misuse issues and mental health challenges within the youth group.

Who are we? The Youth Center Brønderslev is a multidisciplinary unit aimed at all 15-29-year-olds in the municipality. Our core task is to help and retain youths in work and education by ensuring a coherent, holistic approach. You will be assisted by colleagues and professional consultants with specialized knowledge in the areas, so even though you are primarily responsible for the "Housing First" efforts and substance misuse assessments in the team, you will not be alone.

Your authorities on both areas will be

  • Assessment and follow-up in cases of substance abuse treatment.
  • Assessment of combined or integrated pathways
  • Identification of inter-municipal reimbursement
  • Advice and guidance to youths and their families.
  • Participation in network meetings.
  • Case processing under the Social Services Act §§ 85a, 85, 101, 102 and 110.
  • Case processing under the Health Act §§ 141 and 142
  • Participation in professional sparring, well-being meetings, knowledge groups and supervision.

We expect you to have the following professional competences

  • A social work education.
  • High professional competence, where you are able to engage in dialogue with young people with complex challenges.
  • Knowledge of employment and the Social Services Act and preferably experience within the substance misuse field.
  • Good collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Nexus and/or Momentum is an advantage.
  • Driver's license

And as a person you are

  • Equipped with a good mood and a positive outlook on life.
  • A team player for both the young person, families, partners, colleagues and management.

We can offer a workplace where

  • Professional community is highly valued.
  • We have a positive work environment with, among other things, the right and obligation to supervision.
  • You will meet an accessible management that prioritizes well-being.

In the Municipality of Brønderslev we are "In collaboration with the citizens". We support this through our values: Community-building, Brave and Curious. We expect, among other things, that you focus on the core task, take professional pride and share responsibility for good well-being by being positive and constructive.

Salary and conditions of employment: In accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating-backed organization. A child and criminal background check will be obtained before employment.
