About the job

Do you want to contribute to ensuring coherent and holistic interventions for our most socially vulnerable citizens? In the Social Housing Initiative we, among other things, work with the implementation of the homelessness reform and based on the Housing First approach. Therefore we are seeking a social worker who can carry out a hands-on and coordinated effort for citizens who are socially vulnerable and in a fragile housing situation. You will play an important role in the implementation of the homelessness reform in Greve Municipality.

Target group The target group is socially vulnerable citizens who have complex social problems, including housing problems, and who need holistic and hands-on social interventions. This can include, for example, citizens who live on the streets, in care homes or crisis centers, citizens in transitional housing, citizens who contact us about housing insecurity, who are eviction-threatened or who are otherwise socially vulnerable and found in a fragile housing situation.

Responsibilities A through line of the task portfolio is that you must ensure holism and coherence in the solutions we implement together with the citizen.

You shall be a central presence in the work with the citizen and carry out a hands-on and coordinated effort. Hands-on entails close and frequent follow-up on the citizen’s overall situation and support measures. The overall purpose is that the citizen maintains or achieves a stable housing situation, parallel with addressing other social issues.

Concrete tasks include, among others, preventative interventions for eviction-threatened citizens, advice and guidance under the Service Act § 80, close follow-up on citizens living on the street or in housing forms under the Service Act §§ 109-110, close follow-up on citizens in transitional housing, cases of social free card and cases of social cleaning. You must also be able to prepare an assessment according to the VUM method and thereby clarify citizens for possible measures and recommend grant of support under the Service Act, e.g. §§ 85-85a or temporary housing under the Service Act § 107.

Our expectations of you We expect that you are passionate about creating coherent and holistic solutions for and with our most socially vulnerable citizens. Hopefully you have a talent for collaborating and coordinating with internal and external actors around citizens in the target group. You must be strong in both written and oral communication, as you must be able to communicate professionally, respectfully and solution-oriented with both citizens, colleagues and cooperation partners.

You must have a degree as a social worker or social mediator.

In your profile we also emphasize that you

  • are educated in, or have knowledge of, Recovery-oriented Rehabilitation and are motivated to translate the method into practice, and that you have knowledge of the Housing First methods CTI and ICM,
  • can work in a structured way and keep an overview when unforeseen situations change the day’s plans,
  • can actively contribute to our overall task solving and work independently and invite to collaboration,
  • take pride in ensuring that all citizens receive a dignified treatment,
  • contribute to a good working environment yourself, social interaction and have a respectful tone.

Who we are In the Social Housing Initiative we are a small team consisting of two employees in the social housing guidance, you and a team leader. We are part of the Center for Job & Social Service, and we have close cooperation with the advisory team in the specialized social area, with whom you will also have a professional colleague community.

We believe that together we can achieve more. Therefore we support each other, we are constructive in collaboration relations and we take pride in meeting the citizens professionally and with dignity. We have high spirits, high ceilings and high ambitions for professionalism and good collegiality.
