About the job

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with disabilities and their families – in a team with high professionalism, strong sense of community and a focus on development? At Din Sociale Indgang Børn – Brønshøj, Husum and Vanløse we are looking for an engaged child and youth advisor for the team of disability compensatory services.

This is a rare opportunity to become part of a specialized and professionally ambitious team, where we work closely together to create the best possible solutions for the families.

About the team

The HKY team consists of

  • eight child and youth advisors
  • a social work coordinator
  • a department head
  • an authority head

We are a relatively newly established team with various professional experiences and perspectives, and we actively work on developing a strong collaborative culture with high professional sparring, shared reflection, and room for development. With us, it should be safe to ask for help, share professional considerations and put yourself into play.

About the work

In the HKY team we work with disability compensatory services under the Child Act §§ 86-88, including

  • lost earning capacity
  • compensation benefit
  • special supplementary benefit

You will work with both applications, follow-ups, complaints and referrals from the National Appeals Board (Ankestyrelsen).

The work is administrative and authority-related, but at the same time closely linked to the meeting with the children, the young people and their families. You must be able to combine legal understanding and structure with empathy, relational skills and insight into the family’s situation.

We will in 2027 also work with cases under the Child Act § 90 in relation to the Social Services Act § 84 on substitution and respite.

Your tasks will include

  • collect and assess relevant information
  • involve children, young people and parents in the case processing
  • advise families about disability compensatory services
  • draft decisions on a professionally and legally well-founded basis
  • collaborate closely with colleagues and other partners around the family

We are looking for you who

  • are educated as social worker, social mediator or have another relevant background
  • thrive in both authority work and relational work with families
  • work in a structured way and can create an overview in a busy day
  • can communicate clearly and respectfully – both orally and in writing
  • are keen to contribute to a team with high professionalism and strong collaboration
  • see value in sparring, reflection and joint development

Experience with the disability field or the IT system DUBU is an advantage, but not a requirement.

With us you get

  • an exciting and meaningful everyday life with a high degree of responsibility and influence
  • dedicated colleagues and a strong collegial community
  • professional sparring and opportunities for development in everyday work
  • a present and clear leadership with a focus on well-being and professional direction
  • social activities, massage scheme and the possibility for yoga
  • free and unlimited parking at the workplace
  • an attractive canteen scheme – Social Cantina

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the current collective agreement for social workers, social mediators, administrative staff/HK and in accordance with local pay formation principles.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, and the employment start is 20 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are located at Brønshøjvej 17, 2700 Brønshøj.

References from previous employment will be obtained, as well as extended child and criminal record checks before the position can be filled.
