About the job

We are looking for 2 service-oriented social workers for Job and Sick Pay (Job og Sygemeldte) in the Ringkøbing-Skjern Job Center for permanent positions.

Do you want a job where professionalism, relationships and employment go hand in hand? And are you motivated by helping people progress well after or during a illness journey?

Then it might be you we are looking for.

We are looking for two social workers who want to become part of Job and Sick Pay – a department with high professionalism, good humor and ambitions to continually improve.

You help people move forward

Our most important task is to help sick-listed citizens return to work as quickly as possible – either at their current workplace or on to new opportunities.

As an adviser you will be responsible for your own cases and work closely with the citizen to find the right path. You must be able to see possibilities, ask the right questions and together with the citizen find the intervention that makes sense here and now.

We work from an appreciative approach and believe that all people have resources and something to contribute.

Companies are an important part of the solution

The primary focus of our work is to support citizens' connection to the labor market.

Therefore we have a strong focus on the employer-oriented effort. You will, among other things, collaborate with citizens, employers, trade unions and practitioners on the possibilities for retaining or returning to work.

This also means that you will get out of the office and participate in, for example, roundtable meetings and meetings at companies.

You will become part of a strong professional community

In Job and Sick Pay we are about 20 employees spread across four smaller teams. In addition, we have our Retention Team, Long-term Sick Team and the Competence Center .

We emphasize that we can both work independently and be part of a team . We actively use each other for sparring, professional reflections and development of our practice.

You will, among other things, have access to weekly sparring in the Professional Community and ongoing sparring with our two professional coordinators, who are close to the daily task solving.

We have an informal tone, help each other and believe that it should be both professionally exciting and nice to go to work.

At the same time, we see ourselves as one department and one job center. Therefore we collaborate across teams and departments when it provides better solutions for citizens.

We are curious about new ways of doing things

The employment area is changing, and so are we.

We therefore do not expect you to have all the answers. Instead, we expect you to be curious, professionally engaged and eager to develop both yourself and our way of solving the task.

We use digital meetings where meaningful and operate as a hybrid workplace with the possibility of home office days.

We imagine that you

  • are educated as a social worker or social facilitator
  • have knowledge of sick pay legislation – or are willing and able to learn the area thoroughly
  • preferably have knowledge of the Act on Active Social Policy and the Act on an Active Employment Effort
  • work in a structured, systematic way and be able to create an overview – even when there are several balls in the air
  • meet citizens and partners with a recognizing and inclusive approach
  • are strong in both oral and written communication
  • can work independently and at the same time contribute actively to the team's joint task solving
  • are curious about how we can make things even better
  • have a driver's license, as part of the work takes place out at companies
  • have a knack for IT – knowledge of Fasit is an advantage
  • contribute with good energy, humor and a positive mood

With us you get

  • a flexible workplace with the possibility to influence the planning of your work life
  • professional development
  • weekly sparring in the Professional Community
  • close sparring with professional coordinators
  • a hybrid workplace with the possibility of home office up to two days a week after the first three months
  • good colleagues and an informal tone
  • canteen scheme
  • opportunity to participate in developing our efforts in a time when the employment area is changing

Practical

The positions are 37 hours per week, but the working hours can be agreed to between 30 and 37 hours.

We wish to fill the positions as soon as possible, no later than 1 January 2027.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement and Ny Løn agreements.

The savings in the authority area have been implemented, so these are permanent positions.
