About the job

Would you like to join the team in an authority section that values professional development, collaboration and a good working environment?

Do you have authority/agency experience within the specialized social field and a desire to be an advisor in a dynamic and ambitious authority section?

Then we have the position for you in our Social, Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Team.

About the job

The social workers in the authority section primarily work with counseling, assessment and follow-up within the provisions of the Social Services Act for adults with reduced mental/physical functioning and/or social problems.

The target group in the Social, Psychiatry- and Substance Misuse Team is citizens with mental illness, addiction and/or homelessness and/or social hardship, who primarily require interventions under the Social Services Act sections 85, 103, 104, 107 and 108. We are looking for people with experience in the area.

We solve the tasks in close collaboration and dialogue between the authority and the service users, with a strong focus on collaboration with the citizens. The cross-cutting perspective in task solving is valued both within the Social Department and across departments in Silkeborg Municipality.

We work with

  • close dialogue with the citizen, their network and service providers, to create individual and flexible solutions
  • The citizen at Roret, recovery-oriented and rehabilitative approach and therefore focuses on the individual citizen's resources, hope and dreams, and places high emphasis on collaboration with citizens in both assessments, planning of interventions and follow-ups
  • focus on employment/education and close cooperation with the job center.
  • a systematic and holistic social-work approach
  • based on the adult assessment method and with IT support in Nexus

We are looking for a new colleague who

  • is a trained social worker, possibly a social mediator.
  • has relevant social-work experience, preferably experience in the authority sector
  • is curious and aware of others' perspectives, and able to reflect on their own
  • is efficient, systematic, structured and can handle busy periods constructively
  • is mentally robust and can handle conflict-filled situations
  • is interested in working in an organization that develops and changes in step with society and trends within the social sector
  • has a driving license.

A typical day with us

A typical day begins with an overview of today's cases and planning of the tasks. You work with case processing, where you apply your social-work knowledge and preferably the Adult Assessment Method (VUM 2.0) to map the citizen's situation and needs. You have ongoing conversations with citizens, meeting them in an acknowledging manner with a focus on their resources, hopes and dreams. You document your work in writing and convey your assessments clearly and precisely. The day can be busy, but you work in a structured way and maintain an overview.

There will also be situations that require resilience and the ability to handle conflicts constructively. At the same time you actively contribute to the development of authority work, where you are curious about new perspectives and solutions. You are part of an organization in development, where engagement, collaboration and a positive approach are important elements of the work.

Sparring with colleagues and external supervision are seen as important tools in professional development.

There is an informal tone, room for humor and a high ceiling in everyday life, while offering flexitime as well as a coffee and fruit scheme. We work with “fly-in” desks in an open-plan office and also offer the possibility of home working.
