About the job

Would you like to contribute to strengthening the visitation processes, management support, and generally the special pedagogical practice in the school and after-school area in Jammerbugt Municipality? Then this is the newly created position we are looking for.

We are seeking a structured and professionally strong consultant who can drive visitation processes in the school and after-school area and at the same time contribute to the development and professionalization of the overall special pedagogical area in Jammerbugt Municipality.

The position should be viewed in light of increasing task pressure in the area and the latest political agreement on special education, which collectively creates a need to develop the effort with the formulation of procedures, better management information, and stronger communication to parents and partners. This with a steady hand on the steering of visitation processes.

You will be part of a task solution where visitation, daily operations, and the development of workflows and pedagogical practices are closely interconnected. You will, together with the special pedagogical coordinator and the municipality's legal advisor, play a key role in working to create a more professional visitation practice, where tasks become more transparent, well described, and less vulnerable in daily operations.

About the position

The position is located in the Children and Family Administration, School and After-School, where we work to strengthen the special pedagogical area and at the same time develop inclusive learning environments in both general and special education, so that children and young people in need of support receive the right offer at the right time.

As a consultant you will play a central role in supporting visitation work in the school and after-school area. You will, among other things, assist with preparation, coordination, case information, follow-up and quality assurance in connection with visitation and revisitation, including cases of special pedagogical support, special education and relevant offers for children with special needs.

The position also has a clear development path. You will help develop and professionalize workflows, procedures, and communication in the area. This includes for example in relation to administrative basis, procedural descriptions, templates, parent communication, collaboration with other municipalities and use of data as a basis for management information.

Your main tasks

Your tasks will develop in line with the area's needs, and you must therefore thrive in a role where operations and development go hand in hand. At the same time, the position can be partially adapted based on your competencies and experience.

Your duties will initially include

  • assist with visitation processes in the school and after-school area, including preparation, coordination and follow-up on cases - in close collaboration with PPR (Special Education & Counseling) and leadership at schools and after-schools
  • ensure the right match so that children and young people are offered relevant offers based on professional, pedagogical, legal, and economic considerations
  • contribute to drafting and maintaining administrative basis, workflows, templates, and procedures for the visitation work
  • contribute with writing, systematic approach and professional insight in the preparation of templates for decisions, support plans, refusals, etc.
  • support collaboration with other municipalities on school and after-school for placed children
  • support leaders at schools and after-schools in questions about special pedagogical interventions, processes and workflows
  • contribute to handling and qualifying parent inquiries and complaints
  • support implementation of new rules, agreements and local procedures in the area, including in relation to the national agreement on absence and special education

We continuously strive to develop the pedagogical area in municipal special education offerings. Here you will also have a prominent role in planning and carrying out development activities together with your colleagues in School and After-School as well as PPR.

We value

Your specific educational background is not decisive, but it would be advantageous if you have a relevant pedagogical, psychological, administrative or other related background.

The most important is that you can work systematically, create an overview in complex cases, and be a trustworthy partner for managers, professionals, parents, and external partners. Ideally with experience from a municipal context.

We expect you to

  • work structured, independently and with an eye for both details and the whole
  • have strong relational competencies and be able to build trusted collaborations
  • translate complex issues into clear workflows, notes and decision bases
  • have experience with or interest in special pedagogical interventions, special education and inclusive learning environments
  • understand the interplay between professional assessments, legislation, economy and organizational frameworks
  • have good written skills and be able to express yourself precisely and understandably
  • have a flair for data, management information and systematic follow-up
  • can work in a politically led organization where several considerations must be balanced
  • have knowledge of the school and after-school area, PPR or authority work, preferably from a municipality
  • thrive in a role where workflows must be developed, described and implemented while operations continue to function

We offer

Jammerbugt Municipality offers an exciting position with a high degree of independence and responsibility in an organization where collaboration, holistic thinking and professional development are highly valued.

You will have the opportunity to

  • work closely with an area of great importance for children, youths and families
  • contribute to strengthening quality, transparency and legal compliance in the special pedagogical area
  • support management and the political level with relevant knowledge, data and professional insight
  • be part of an engaged administration where tasks are solved across professions and organizational boundaries – no one faces the task alone.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a permanent role with start date 1 January 2026. Working hours are 37 hours per week.

Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and principles for local pay.

Workplace: Children and Family Administration, School and After-School, Fjerritslev Town Hall, Danmarksgade 1, 9690 Fjerritslev.

The application must be received no later than 30 October 2026 at 23:59.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 11 November and Wednesday 18 November 2026.
