About the job

We are seeking a senior psychologist for a permanent position starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is, as a rule, 37 hours per week. We are also looking for someone who is well on the way to completing their education as a clinical psychologist.

The position is based in Skejby, but by agreement there may be the option to attend the department's other site in Gødstrup.

In Team 2, children aged 8-13 years with a wide range of pediatric psychiatric problematics are assessed and treated. The main focus is on ADHD and autism, but as a clinical psychologist you will naturally take on tasks related to the most complex patients who may be referred with depression, anxiety, OCD, intellectual disability, Tourette syndrome, etc. The Skejby department also handles a number of highly specialized functions and several of our staff are involved in research. Team 2 handles highly specialized functions in relation to attention disorders, OCD and Tourette.

Team 2 has around 70 staff with different professional backgrounds, including psychologists, medical and psychology trainees, specialists, district pediatricians and nurses, social workers and secretaries.

We are a department with long-standing staff and many experienced colleagues, including psychologists.

As a clinical psychologist, you will have a key role in the department. You will have close collaboration with the department's specialists and be involved in the development and organization of the outpatient clinic. As a clinical psychologist you will have an important task in supporting a high professional standard, contributing to development and focusing on how we best utilize the available resources for the benefit of the overall target group.

As a clinical psychologist you will be responsible for the following tasks

  • assessment and evaluation of children with complex psychopathology
  • contributing with psychopathological assessments and handling more acute issues
  • leading conferences for case conferences, clarifying conferences, and diagnostic conferences
  • handling referrals and inquiries from the primary sector
  • consultation, supervision, guidance and possibly teaching
  • participation and possibly a coordinating role in professional and organizational development processes
  • main supervisor for clinical psychologists in training.

For applicants with interest and relevant competencies within psychotherapy, part of the position may involve psychotherapeutic tasks in the treatment of OCD, anxiety and depression. The therapeutic treatment primarily takes its starting point in a cognitive approach.

We encourage you to indicate any specific competencies or areas of interest within the pediatric psychiatric field that you would like to develop further.

We offer

  • a meaningful everyday life, where you help the most ill and complex children, adolescents and their families
  • a professionally challenging and exciting position where you will handle varied tasks requiring your expertise. You will never be alone with the task, but will have easy access to professional sparring
  • engaged and experienced colleagues who possess specialized knowledge within different areas, creating an inspiring work environment
  • opportunity for research
  • individual or group supervision as needed
  • close collaboration with specialists and clinical psychologists across the outpatient school-age area, including joint problem solving and professional sparring
  • strong interdisciplinary collaboration that ensures we can offer holistic assessment and treatment to the children and their families
  • great opportunities for professional development and participation in development work. You will have the opportunity to develop your competencies and stay updated with the latest research and practice in the field
  • a well-structured introduction program tailored to your individual competencies and experience to ensure a smooth transition to your new role so you feel well prepared for the tasks.

We are looking for someone who

  • is educated as a clinical psychologist in child and adolescent psychiatry or is well on the way to becoming one
  • works independently and in a structured way and has a good overview
  • has a strong professional profile and a solid theoretical background which you apply in your work
  • wants to contribute to professional development, quality assurance and possibly research projects
  • has good collaboration skills with colleagues and external partners
  • is engaged and has an eye for both patient pathways, professional quality and organizational contexts
