Specialist for the catenary system - operation and maintenance

In the role you will hold the title of geographic subject specialist and handle central tasks in operation, maintenance and development of Banedanmark's catenary system. You monitor the condition of the installations, plan and follow up on maintenance tasks and contribute with your expertise in new projects.

We are seeking three geographic subject specialists for the Catenary team in Maintenance.

One position covers the S-train's catenary system. The second covers the sections between Fredericia, Vejle and Aarhus and two short catenaries near Holstebro and Skjern (battery train). The third covers the section from Aarhus Station to Aalborg Station. You will become part of a team of about 11 colleagues, where professional sparring, collaboration and a good collegial environment are a natural part of everyday life.

You don't need to know everything from the start. We ensure training, practical experience, relevant courses and ongoing professional sparring, so you are equipped for the role.

You follow the installation from maintenance to development

As a geographic subject specialist you will have among other things responsibility for

• plan and follow up on maintenance of the catenary system
• follow up on norm orders in SAP and collaborate with maintenance managers and suppliers
• identify needs for condition and renewal tasks based on the condition of the installations
• bidra with technical input to new projects and ensure a good transition from project to operations
• share your knowledge through professional sparring and teaching.

You work broadly across Banedanmark and use your technical understanding to translate data, analyses and observations from the installation into concrete professional assessments and recommendations.

We work among other things with laser scanning, image recognition and other digital measurement methods. You do not need to be a data analyst yourself, but you should be able to assess what the results mean for the specific installation.

A versatile job with professional responsibility for the catenary system

As a geographic subject specialist you will take a central role in planning and following up on maintenance of the catenary systems.

You collaborate among other things with the maintenance manager, suppliers and colleagues across Banedanmark. You follow up on norm orders in SAP and contribute to ensuring that maintenance tasks are planned and carried out on a professional and technically correct basis. You also ensure that condition- and renewal tasks are identified and registered based on the installations' condition and needs.

You will also be continuously involved in new projects, where you contribute with technical input, participate in reviews of the installation and help ensure a good handover from project to operations.

The role therefore requires both technical understanding, overview and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Your professional background

There are several pathways into the position. We emphasize your overall competencies and your motivation to develop. For example you may have:

• a relevant vocational education and apprenticeship with experience from maintenance, refurbishment or new construction of electrical traction systems
• a technical further education, e.g. as a mechanical engineer, combined with relevant experience
• a electrical engineering background as electrician, electrical installer or technician with relevant experience

If you have already completed Banedanmark's courses KØK 1 and KØK 2 it is an advantage, but not a requirement for employment. If you have the right professional background, we will help you build the necessary installation-specific knowledge and practical experience. Your competence development can include, among other things, the course KØK 1 and 2, training, practical field tasks and introduction to relevant rules, standards and workflows.

• have technical understanding and can translate it into practical solutions
• take responsibility and want to learn and develop yourself
• thrive with both practical, administrative and coordinating tasks.

You must be able to obtain the necessary health clearance and have a category B driver's license.

Salary and terms of employment

There will be opportunities for a duty station in Copenhagen, Otto Busses Road or in Ringsted on Godsbanevej for S-train GFS.

For areas in Jutland it will be in Middelfart, Herning or Aarhus. There will be an expectation that you come to Middelfart once a week.

You are employed under the applicable collective agreement with a salary of 45,000-50,000 incl. pension. Depending on your qualifications there is potential for negotiating additional allowances. In addition to the total salary there is an employer-financed pension scheme, where the pension rate will follow the relevant collective agreement.
