About the job

Social and educational specialists in autism and developmental disabilities sought for Carelink Shielded Housing

Would you like to help create good conditions for children, young people and adults with challenges who require a specialized residential care provision? Can you see yourself in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and in an organization that places a high value on professionalism? Then you are the person we are looking for.

Who are we?

Carelink Shielded Housing is part of the Carelink Group, which is Denmark’s largest private welfare group and which provides services across health, employment, the social sector and elderly care.

In the Carelink Group we work from the belief that all people have value and resources, but that the approach to this is individual. Our set of values is:

· We respect each other and the task

· We find solutions

· We do it properly

Carelink Shielded Housing consists of 3 departments, where the target group is children, youths and adults with a need for a specially tailored residential offer in accordance with the Child Act §43 or the Social Services Act §§107 and 108.

The target group for each department is characterised by a number of challenges that require a special effort, and where the individual receives 1:1 or 2:1 support. The support is provided by social-work and pedagogical staff with specialized knowledge within the specific area.

The departments have the following target groups

· Crime and substance abuse

· Autism and developmental disabilities

· Psychiatry and self-harm

About the job

We are seeking several employees with a solid background and experience with the target group within Autism and developmental disabilities. Your background is pedagogical and/or health-related, and preferably with knowledge of pedagogical approaches and methods such as Low Arousal and neuro- and autism-pedagogy. You should thrive in close relational work with the clients and at the same time take pride in supporting the client's development at a high professional level and in close collaboration with your colleagues.

You will be employed as part of a team in the department and work together with your colleagues based on the department’s methodological approaches and with a focus on the individual client’s special needs. You report in your daily work to a department manager.

There are predominantly around-the-clock shifts, and you spend the shift either alone or with a colleague, depending on the task’s complexity. The task includes day, evening and night hours and

is planned on both weekdays and weekends. The appointment is for 160.33 hours, corresponding to a full-time position.

There are tasks where you must be professionally well prepared for the task, be naturally curious about your own and others’ professionality and be able to translate development goals into practical pedagogical measures that support the client’s development.

You must be able to thrive in a day-to-day that can be both fluctuating and require you to take responsibility and act on the challenges that arise, but also be able to assess when you should reach out for sparring and help from a colleague or a manager.

What we expect from you

· That you have knowledge of and experience with working with socially vulnerable children, young people and adults – and their families/networks.

· That you have a relevant pedagogical or health-care professional education and relevant experience with the target group.

· That you can work independently, be proactive, and that you can plan your own time, be followed up and complete the things you initiate.

· That you can see yourself joining a team where things move quickly, and where we lift in unison.

· That you are flexible and responsible – and possess a high degree of openness and patience as well as the ability to maintain an overview in conflict-filled situations.

· That you possess great commitment, are flexible and responsible while you are passionate about making a difference for children, young people and adults with diverse challenges.

· That you think holistically and can engage in both internal and external collaborative relations.

· That you can approach your tasks systematically and in a structured way.

· That you are good at observing and documenting your work on a professionally well-founded basis

· That you have a clean criminal record and a child protection clearance.

· That you have a driving license and your own car

We offer

· An organization in continuous development that places a high value on professionalism and integrity.

· A workplace with good colleagues at all levels, characterized by a high professional level, strong commitment and ambitions.

· The opportunity to become part of a professional community where there is also professional supervision and competence development.

· A daily life that is never the same.

· Meaningful work where we every day help ensure the best possible conditions for the residents we are responsible for.
