About the job

Carelink Shielded Housing seeks social- and pedagogical staff within the area of crime- and substance-abuse-threatened youth

Do you want to help create good conditions for children, youths and adults with challenges who need a special residential service? Can you see yourself in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and in an organization that places a high value on professional excellence? Then you are the person we are looking for.

Who are we?

Carelink Shielded Housing is part of Carelink Group, which is Denmark's largest private welfare group and which delivers services across health, employment, social care and elder care.

In Carelink Group we work from the belief that every person has value and resources, but that the approach to this is individual. Our set of values is:

· We respect each other and the task

· We find solutions

· We do it properly

Carelink Shielded Housing consists of 3 departments, where the target group is children, youths and adults with a need for a specially tailored residential provision in accordance with the Child Act §43 or the Social Services Act §107 and §108.

The target group for each department is characterized by a number of challenges that require a special effort, and where the individual receives 1:1 or 2:1 support. The support is provided by social- and pedagogical staff with specialized knowledge within the concrete area.

The departments have the following target groups

· Crime and substance abuse

· Autism and intellectual disability

· Psychiatry and self-harm

About the job

We are seeking a number of employees with a solid background and experience with the target group within crime and substance abuse. Your background is pedagogical and/or social-educational, and preferably with knowledge of pedagogical approaches and methods such as Low Arousal, Motivational Interviewing and the appreciative approach. You should thrive in close relational work with the residents and at the same time take pride in supporting the resident’s development at a high professional level and in close collaboration with your colleagues.

You will be hired as part of a team in the department and work together with colleagues based on the department’s methodological approaches and with reference to each resident’s particular needs. You report in daily operations to a department manager.

There are predominantly night shifts, and you spend shifts either alone or with a colleague, depending on task complexity. The role includes day, evening and night hours and is planned for both weekdays and weekends. The employment corresponds to 160.33 hours, i.e. a full-time position.

These are tasks where you must be professionally well-prepared for the assignment, be naturally curious about your own and others’ professionality, and be able to translate development goals into practical pedagogical measures that support the resident’s development.

You must be able to thrive in a daily life that can be changeable and require you to take responsibility and action for the challenges that arise, but also be able to assess when you should seek sparring and help from a colleague or leader.

What we expect from you

· That you have knowledge of and experience with working with socially vulnerable children, youths and adults - and their families/networks.

· That you have a relevant pedagogical or social-educational education and relevant experience with the target group.

· That you can work independently, take initiative, and that you can plan your own time, follow up on and complete the things you start.

· That you can see yourself joining a team where things move fast, and where we lift together.

· That you are flexible and responsible – and possess a high degree of openness and patience as well as the ability to maintain an overview in conflict-filled situations.

· That you possess great engagement, are flexible and responsible while also being passionate about making a difference for children, youths and adults with various challenges.

· That you think in a holistic way and can engage in both internal and external collaboration relationships.

· That you can approach your tasks in a systematic and structured manner.

· That you are good at observing and documenting your work on a professionally sound basis

· That you have a clean criminal record and child protection certificate.

· That you have a driver’s license and a own car

We offer

· An organization in continuous development that places a high value on professionalism and integrity.

· A workplace with good colleagues at all levels, characterized by a high professional level, strong commitment and ambitions.

· An opportunity to become part of a professional community where there is also professional supervision and competence development.

· A daily life that is never the same.

· Meaningful work where every day we help ensure the best possible conditions for the residents we are responsible for.
