We envisage that you are a specialist in anesthesiology, pulmonology or another relevant specialty, but your interest in the area and desire to develop the function are the most important.

About Respirationscenter Syd

Respirationscenter Syd is one of Denmark's three highly specialized respiratory centers and handles diagnostics and treatment of adult patients from the Region of Southern Denmark with chronic respiratory insufficiency and sleep-related respiratory disorders (Special guideline for Anesthesiology – as part of highly specialized functions).

The center works closely with Respirationscenter East and Respirationscenter West and handles treatment including, among other things, non-invasive ventilation, invasive home respiratory therapy and related highly specialized treatment courses.

The work spans a broad range and includes advanced respiratory physiology, patient pathways, ethics, rehabilitation, involvement of relatives and organizational development.

About the position

You will be part of a small, specialized environment with a high degree of professional autonomy and the opportunity to influence both clinical practice and the future development of the area.

A substantial part of the task consists of creating coherent patient pathways and developing solutions that enable more patients to receive treatment and support in their own homes. RCS is currently undergoing a transformation to shift much of the training from inpatient to home-based care.

There is great flexibility regarding the composition of the position. Depending on your competencies and preferences there may be possibilities for job sharing or a combination with roles in other departments at OUH or at Svendborg Hospital.

”Respirationscenter Syd stands on the brink of an exciting development in the coming years. The plan is for the center to move, in connection with the General Plan for Svendborg, to newly renovated and up-to-date facilities at Svendborg Hospital. The final schedule has not yet been set.”

Salary and terms follow current collective agreement. The Region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position:

You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the Senior Doctors' Agreement 33.04 or the Young Doctors' Agreement 33.06 depending on your starting point. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications. Starting salary for positions in the Region of Southern Denmark .
