About the job

• Communication assessment, teaching and counseling for citizens including aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive communicative challenges or cognitive communication difficulties after an acquired brain injury, as well as other neurological speech challenges.
• Assessment and teaching along with counseling/guidance for adults with communication difficulties of non-neurological causes, including those who have undergone oral cavity surgery.
• Counseling/guidance as well as teaching in conversation support for professionals/relatives.
• Interdisciplinary sparring and collaboration, both with colleagues and external partners.
• Implementation and teaching in alternative communication aids, including both analogue and digital solutions for adults with speech difficulties after an acquired brain injury.
• Teaching a communication group for citizens with a focus on compensatory strategies.
• Work across disciplines with relevant collaborators with the citizen in focus.
• Handle written documentation and journaling.
• Spar and share knowledge with your colleagues and participate in structured team collaboration.
• The tasks are carried out in accordance with the Act on Special Education for Adults.

We expect from you

• That you are trained as a Speech-language pathologist.
• That you have specialized knowledge of neurological speech disorders.
• That you have experience with: assessment, teaching and counseling/guidance of citizens with communication difficulties including:

• That you have experience or familiarity with testing as well as experience with KomTil/SCA.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement and the principles of Ny Løn.

The position is 35 - 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026. It is a maternity leave cover for the period 1 December 2026 – 1 December 2027.

About us

CSV stands for Center for Special Education for Youth and Adults. CSV is located on four sites with the main site at Pedersholms Allé 50/ Solsikkevej 6 in Vejle, close to both nature and the city. There are 80 employees at CSV, including teachers, pedagogical assistants, consultants and TAP staff.

CSV has four departments: Special Education for Adults, The Specially Arranged Youth Education – STU, UU – Youth Guidance, and Communication & Technology. It is in the department Communication & Technology that you will spend your daily time.

We help residents of Vejle Municipality who have specific functional impairments in the areas of vision, speech and hearing. This includes advice, guidance and specialized teaching also within ICT aids. The target group also includes children enrolled in the Visual Registry, as well as children who need special compensatory technological communication solutions.

Our overarching mission is that citizens with special challenges should have the opportunity to succeed in their lives.

To ensure high professional standards, we are part of DTHS and the professional network in the Tri-County area including Kolding, Fredericia/Middelfart and Vejle Municipality, just as we have a binding collaboration with Kolding Municipality regarding task solving.

The center is organized within Vejle Municipality’s Department of Education & Learning. The management secretariat is organized with a principal as the top responsible and a deputy head who is also the department head for Communication & Technology and Adult Special Education, a department head for STU and a professional lead for UU.

CSV Vejle is a well-functioning organization with a broad collaboration surface into the wider society. There is good collegial collaboration at the center as well as good cooperation with external partners.
