Botilbuddet Gl. Kongevej is a small residential facility with space for a total of 23 residents spread over two floors.

We are a small staff group where there is respect for each other’s professionalities – we listen to one another and make joint decisions.

About the position/workplace

Botilbud Gl. Kongevej is a 24/7 facility for adults with acquired brain injury, where the staff group is multidisciplinary, consisting of among others social educators, pedagogical assistants, social and health care assistants, etc. Everyone regardless of profession handles development-, rehabilitation- as well as care tasks for the individual resident.

Gl. Kongevej is a house where up to 23 wonderful people with individual needs for support and care live. The degree of brain injury varies from moderate to severe. The residents live in their own apartments and receive individual social-pedagogical support for all everyday practical tasks, personal care and activities. Some residents primarily need support for everyday tasks, others require both care and support. Several residents with severe brain injury use a wheelchair and a lift.

Our approach

Neuropedagogy is the focus of our pedagogical and rehabilitative work.

Our work is based on recovery-oriented rehabilitation with the citizen at the center and aims to develop the individual's competences and resources so that everyone achieves maximum self-determination and independence in relation to their life situation. Daily life and activities take their starting point in the residents' own wishes and needs.

The goal is to support the resident in mastering as much as possible in their own life and that life should feel as meaningful and manageable as possible.

The residents' resources are very different, but we place great emphasis on organizing our work so that their potentials are utilized in daily life, both individually and in the community.

We expect that you

• Are reliable and prepared to have varying working hours as well as weekend work every other weekend and on holidays.
• Have professional knowledge of the area.
• Are good at expressing yourself in writing.
• Have situational awareness, a good overview and can plan independently.
• Want to work with people with acquired brain injury and issues of substance abuse and that you see the person behind the substance abuse and work from this.
• Are responsible and good at interdisciplinary collaboration.

Salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiable organization.

Prior to final employment a criminal record check will be obtained and references taken from current or previous place of work.
