Strong language and communications consultant for Direct Communication

Right now we are looking for a strong language and communications consultant who will use all of their knowledge and experience in writing and testing messages to improve our communication to citizens and businesses, so the complicated appears simple. In the Tax Administration, communication is a core task. We must make it simple and easy for citizens and businesses to pay correct taxes and duties on time.

The Tax Administration sends over 30 million letters to citizens and businesses each year. The letters contain everything from reminders to decisions and therefore constitute a main channel for contact with citizens and businesses.

The quality, timing and interaction of the letters with other channels are crucial for The Tax Administration to succeed with its core task. If citizens and businesses do not understand and can act on our letters, we do not fulfill our duty as a government authority.

Can you write and sell messages?

As our new language and communications consultant, your primary task will be to edit, write and rewrite letters that are easy to understand, remember and act on. It is important that you thrive with both writing from scratch, rewriting letters for campaigns, and enjoy diving into our large backlog of letters. Operations and development go hand in hand, and you should be happy with both.

Can you ensure systematic development, management and quality improvement?

In Direct Communication we are currently in the process of consolidating the responsibility for more data-based management, planning, quality assurance and follow-up on all our letters to ensure a better user experience. You will play an important and driving role in building this new area of responsibility. You should therefore have the desire and the competencies to take on this task.

Strong language consultant with a sharp and creative pen

We imagine that you have a relevant educational background and preferably a couple of years of experience with targeted written communication. Public sector experience is welcome.

You should be comfortable with complex processes and be good at delivering results. In addition you thrive in daily dialogue with different stakeholders and areas of expertise when you find solutions, drive internal processes and stand up for the communicative. You always base your work on the target groups’ situation and bring the recipient perspective into play.

Knowledge of the Tax Administration and the Tax Agency’s mail-out work is an advantage but not a requirement.

You should also be keen to become part of an environment where we are busy and have high ambitions, but also take good care of each other.

Who are we?

Direct Communication has three main tasks: linguistic quality assurance and communications advisory, translations, and the technical dispatch of millions of letters to citizens and businesses. Good language is the focal point for the content of the Tax Agency’s letters, emails, and other 1:1 communication to citizens and businesses. We have a strong focus on linguistic and communication quality assurance and thrive in the intersection of authoritative and behavior-changing communication. We must ensure that letters end up with the right recipients at the right time.

Your new colleagues in Direct Communication have diverse backgrounds and competencies in communication, dispatch, strategy and processes. We bring each other into play across a wide range of tasks and work cross-functionally across disciplines.

Direct Communication is part of the External Communication department, where the four other offices, among other things, are responsible for campaigns & branding, skat.dk, social media, stakeholder management, behavioral design, digital development and visual communication.

You will be employed on collective wage terms according to the governing collective agreements for academics in the state (AC), for clerical, laboratory and IT staff (HK) or for officers, etc. (DTS) at The Ministry of Taxation and Growth.
