About the job

Are you passionate about retail, strong customer experiences and leadership? And are you motivated to create results through an engaged team?

Then you might be the person we are looking for as our new store manager in the women's department at NIELSENS in Holstebro.

We are looking for an engaged and proactive store manager who wants to take responsibility, set direction and help develop both the store and the employees.

About the position

As store manager you will have the overall responsibility for daily operations and development of our women's department. You will become a central part of the store’s leadership and play an important role in creating excellent customer experiences, driving sales and ensuring that the store always appears inspiring and inviting.

Your primary task is the daily management of the women's department, where you handle both professional leadership and people management of your team, which today consists of you and two sales associates.

You will have a close sparring relationship with the store manager in the men’s department, where you collaborate to create the best framework for both customers, employees and the store’s overall results. You support each other, share experiences and actively contribute to the development of the store.

Leadership, responsibility and collaboration

You report directly to the company’s CEO and will work closely with our Retail Operation Partner and HR Business Partner.

They serve as your advisory sparring partners in respectively retail operations and HR, so you always have access to relevant professional support and sparring.

However, it is you as the store manager who has the decision-making power in your own department. You have the freedom and responsibility to make decisions about relevant initiatives, initiatives and priorities in the store. We believe in leadership with trust, clear responsibility and space to act.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Daily management and development of the store and your employees.
  • Planning and optimization of staffing and resources.
  • Ensuring high customer service and strong sales results.
  • Responsibility for product ordering, stock management and product presentation.
  • Training, motivation and development of the employees.
  • Follow-up on the store’s key figures, budgets and targets.
  • Continuous optimization of the store’s operations and customer experience.
  • Creating a positive culture where engagement, responsibility and collaboration are in focus.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a skilled background in retail or a similar industry experience. Maybe you already have leadership experience, or perhaps you are a skilled sales profile ready to take the next step and take on more responsibility.

The most important is that you want and have the ability to lead and achieve results together with others.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • Work independently and take natural responsibility.
  • Are results-oriented and motivated to reach shared goals.
  • Can create engagement and a positive working culture.
  • Have a good overview and thrive in a daily life with many balls in the air.
  • Are passionate about sales, service and good customer experiences.
  • Are a clear and present leader with good communication skills.
  • Are decisive and dare to take initiative.
  • Want to develop both people, processes and business.

What do we offer?

At NIELSENS you get an exciting leadership position with the opportunity to make your mark on both the store, the team and the daily operations.

We offer you

  • An autonomous leadership role with a clear mandate to make decisions.
  • Opportunity to influence and develop your own department.
  • A strong community and good colleagues.
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development.

Additionally we offer

  • Staff discount.
  • Pension.
  • Health insurance from the first day of work.

Salary is determined by qualifications.

The position is full-time, and you have good opportunities to arrange your own daily schedule within the store’s framework. It is expected that you work every other Saturday.
